Middle-Aged Backpackers Returning to their Roots!
Hi Everyone!! We are in the planning stages. My wife and I were in Indonesia in 2001 . . . We loved it. We are going to return this year. Any recommendations of where to go?

Awesome . . . I am going to put you on follow. (Old travellers need to stick together!!) Maybe share some ideas. We have a few set in stone . . . returning to some old favs to see what they are like now . . . but will most likely be at the seat of our pants.

I'm @andyluy and I've been here for a a month, a can tell you that steemit is the most amazing thing I've ever seen at the internet so far. I'm happy seeing it grows every day!

Awesome!!! We are just starting to plan things out, we loved Bali in the past!! The Indo Visa thing of 30 days is a bit of a pain . . . looking into alternatives for that.
Try to get a social budayya and you could stay 6 months !!

Sounds great!! I was there many moons ago . . . hence my younger picture. Looking for ideas on my return.
I'm also looking forward to going back :-) We've spent quite a bit of time in a place called 'Medewi'. There is an amazing 'left'wave there. You can surf it for half a kilometer :-) When I was there we were lucky to have 2.5 to 3.5-meter waves. These waves are not too fast when starting off and then in the middle section it becomes more aggressive. Really Nice! :-)
I saw a video of a guy there . . . . looked like a real fun wave!!!
