Arbitrary Travel Tips
You sexy wanderer, you! Bookmark Steemit.com and back up and pack your laptop, cuz we’re going on an adventure!
When the Wanderlust bites, you have no choice but to scratch that itch. Don’t be like George-
Hit the road, Jack!
Travel is like Special Sauce for the soul.
It is the best education, and the most memorable gift to give. Do you remember what you got for your seventh birthday? No? Me neither! But you remember that road trip your family took the summer you were 10. And the vacation in third grade.
Traveling is not only relaxing and fun. It creates new neural connections in your brain.
Moral of the story?
Traveling makes you smart!
And smart is sexy.
So travel makes you sexy, too :)
To hit the road in comfort, you’re gonna need a few essentials. But not as much as you might think! The worst thing you can do is pack too much- you always regret it! Lugging around extra luggage or having to wait hours for your bags to appear at the airport is not my idea of relaxation! Stick with a carry on. It will not be lost forever in Airport Purgatory, and you’ll have more time and money to actually put the tion in your vacay ;)
6. Compression Sack
Saves room by tightening all your necessities. Be sure to do some research and get a decent quality compression sack. You wouldn't want the seams exploding and your, ahem, back massager rolling across the lobby floor.
5. Conspiracy!
The luggage companies have been keeping an awfully big secret from you. They sell you their ginormous matching sets of rolling suitcases and mesmerize you with promises that you can bring everything with you on holiday.
Contrary to popular belief, the world is not that savage! Most cultures have figured out how to clean clothes. Hotel laundries and laundromats are usually just a few minutes away from anywhere, and if all else fails, you still have the sink.
4. Repeat After Me
I don't need this. I don't need that. This is your Packing Mantra. Most items you do not use every day can be purchased or borrowed once you get there.
3. The Trilogy
The Rule of Three
Threes a Crowd- oh wait, wrong article :)
Follow the rules of three when you pack. Three shirts, three pairs of socks, three (sets of for the ladies) underwear. Wear one, wash one, dry one. For legwear, two pair of pants and one pair or shorts for the environment. Choose wrinkle resistent, light and flowy fabrics that dry quick- like poly cotton blends- that you have pre matched.
2. Wrap Me Up
A wide scarf or a sarong will be your best friend. Use it as a beach cover up, to drape over your shoulders when visiting culturally appropriate places, a privacy wall, a makeshift bag, a sunshade, a skirt, and a slew of other things! You can really get creative. Pack a few feet of paracord, too- makeshift belt, turn your sarong bag into a backpack, etc.
1. Pop Some Tags
Take advantage of a thrift shop in each country you visit. Instead of packing three shirts, wear one and visit the thrift shop upon arrival. Buy two shirts from that country to wear in that county. Donate or give away on your way out.

Great tips! I'll keep the rule of three in mind when I need to pack next. :)
Perfect! Just be sure you color coordinate... You don't want to end up with three pairs of striped pants with polka dot shirts ;)
Haha... That'll leave behind an impression wherever I go!
I'll have to remember not to end up like that... :D

Thanks for the tips! I always have such a hard time packing light so I will try to remember the rule of three next time I travel.
I can be horrible if I let myself too! "What if I need this, what if I need that" "Oh, I'm sure there will be a situation where I'm going to need this!" lol
One thing I realized is that if you are invited to somewhere where you'll need different attire, the people who invited you or their friends or family will more than likely have something for you to borrow to wear- and they are happy to be able to do so!
Nice
I like the intro, you sexy wanderrer you! Lol it got me right away hihihi
