The Purge!
Teamwork is pretty much what #thealliance is all about. Allies supporting allies above others, rooting for the team. We have reached out the best we could to those that were not engaging with the community and supporting their teammates. The following profiles are no longer considered allies: @yandot, @mikeylorenzo, @mcoinz79, @anialexander, @awarenessraiser, @bon3s90, @miriamslozberg, @nolnocluap, & @sagittarianqueen. This is not an order saying anyone has to unfollow or stop supporting these people if you like their content, they were admitted membership because they do have quality posts. However, moving forward, people that are not 'on board' so to speak, will not be getting Allied attention when they aren't giving their allies their due accolades. We move as one.

Thank you to all for being who you are and supporting this Allied family! Please join us on discord via that link down there if you haven't already. Our server there is getting very active and has been a great way to communicate with everyone. That being said, other avenues have been shut down as they were pretty much null and void.

As we approach the 100 core member mark, we are being more selective. A referral from one 'Loyal to #thealliance' will get you through the door much faster. Once we do reach maximum capacity, we have a way to incorporate more people so stay tuned... Wanted to also say thank you everyone for being consistent and representing us well. TRAINEES
As was mentioned earlier in this post, we have to be more selective as to who we let into #thealliance as part of our goals are to bring value with quality posts. We're not saying that people can't go out and make it just fine without being a trainee, what we are saying, is that we are willing to help people **GET BETTER** and become **NOTICED STEEMIANS** in these oceans and waterways. We want you to get that notoriety! This is not Facebook where you share your yammering drama. This is not Instagram where you post random pictures (though SteepShot does allow that). This is not Twitter where a 10 word sentence drop-off will suffice to be considered 'quality content'. We give credit where it is due. With our assistance, those that become our trainees will hopefully take advantage of the collective experience we have and apply it to their posting capabilities. Guidance is what we are offering, it is up to you to capitalize on it.

Contests
#thealliance currently hosts three contests and supports several others. We have the daily cryptoguess contest, and two weekly ones, karaoke and the all new killerpix. We also support fellow allies' contests. @donatello has a dance contest, and @christheaudioguy does a resteem lottery. @buzzbeergeek supports & @detlev hosts the Beer Saturday contest. @mikepm74 did a meme challenge this week and has a writing contest. Also, @johleen does a selfie photo contest on Sundays. We also are supporters of the Open Mic contest which is the oldest music competition here on Steemit run by @luzcyfer with full support from @pfunk & are a week out from a full year in weekly contests. They also support us and we have several members that compete. If there are any other contests members are doing, feel free to put the links and a brief description in the comments below. OH, if you haven't voted for your witnesses yet, get over there and write in @zeartul :)

I missed the meeting but was able to listen to the replay.. interesting material covered.
I tried to hunt down SteepShot and found it isn't available for iPad at this time .. anyone using it on Android?
I do. There are three things I don't like about it. One, it hijacks a tag and forces you to use steepshot as a tag. Two, it only allows you to post one picture at a time. Three, you cannot put a description on it outside of the title. I post some shots every now and again and try to have a good title. Basically a v0.1 of Instagram.

oh I've been pestering her. She has downloaded the app. I've been bugging her about posting on Steemit, she's very talented in a lot of areas. If the way back in is getting her to post on there is on there to start then all for the good. :)
