Sublime Sunday - Beautiful Sunday - Sunday Purple Color Challenge
Oh, Sunday! Where would the week be without you? We would just be another six days, wouldn't we? You complete me, make me whole, finish the cycle. I thank you for that.

Today will be a down day for me, which means that I will probably be spending most of my day in my gardens, giving them a little extra love and deadheading and weeding a bit. I planted some marigold seeds late in the season and now I need to take the time to thin them out and spread the wealth to other parts of the garden. Here! Take a couple of flowers! Flowers! There always must be flowers!

Even the fuschia on the porch is loving life right now. The right amount of heat, guarded against the sun and plenty of water. Oh! Life is good. Just ask this plant.
This has been such a good year for all lilies. Despite the hard rain at night and the wind that seems to accompany it, these delicate beauties have persevered. I like lilies because they seem to last forever and ever.
All last week, I was out of town camping on an island. Well, nothing exotic or tropical, but, an island off the coast of Virginia, on their Eastern Shore. It was a lot of fun and a lot of rain involved. Usually, the two don't mingle well, but, I think this time it did. I even got to play in the mud a bit. No, I don't want to grow up. Not today anyway.
This is what I got to see! Ponies swimming!
Of course, that always inspires me to take our little guy out for some good exercise and training. He never tires of it. I believe he was born to jump.
I have had a most enjoyable Sunday, sublimely so! I have gone to Church, walked my miles, ridden my little pony, Henry and weeded the garden. Now it's time to think about eating. A chapter for another story.

You've got a good collection of flowers photos. One with orchids even.
Most amazing to me is to see the horses swimming.
My orchids are outside now, but, I bring them indoors for the winter and spring. Horses are actually very good swimmers. It is surprising to see them in the water sometimes, but, the islands are close.
And I have money now! Tip!!

Are those Ponies swimming or drowning? It's a fine line, that must be a very deep body of water to have them hanging so low.
My favourite flower is the lilac one, so delicate and pretty - quite breathtaking.

Thank you! You are so sweet! The ponies have a swim every year called the Chicoteague Pony Swim and they go from island to island. They actually swim quite well. It is pretty deep, but, this is the ocean and it is low tide. :)
The lilacs is my favorite too. I haven't told you, but, I want to thank you for taking the time to go and write a very beautiful comment on each and every one of these. It is noted and appreciated to see you go through that kind of trouble.

Hello? You know that my day is almost done. Well not done, but the work is. I can't have that all hanging over my head. Now it's time to do something fun. I actually did not realize this comment even posted because it didn't show up and my steam it has not been working very well on my mobile app today. It hasn't worked in days. Boo.

Haha! You are right! Most of them are over 15 hands, which is technically horse size. :) It has been a wild week for sure, especially camping out at the pony swim. The island was filled with people and it rained! You think that would make people go home, but, noooooo!

The little guy...cute x 10 what is it's name?
It is called the Chincoteague Pony Swim! [see here}(https://steemit.com/nature/@dswigle/pony-swim-on-chincoteague-island) They do this twice a year, but, in the fall to no fanfare like in the summer. The little guy's name is Henry and we bought him at the pony swim auction a few years back. He was born in the wild.
Thanks for the visit and there were a few posts all last week on it as that is where I was. :)
I'll take a look. We've got the grandkids staying and things are a little hectic atm.
It's all I can do, just to get a post out sometimes.
They are out today so I'm trying yo do a bit of catch up. 😊

Thank you! We do love Henry. He is one of the family! Here is Henry and me when he was a few months old. I was his herd and I would run around the pasture so he would follow me. He missed running with the herd. :)
