There was a bird which liked to sing
Folks set the tones as mobile phone ring
The bird got confused
It felt it was abused
The case was taken to the king
The king was playing with his gift
The bird and the folks came by the lift
The bird saw the iPhone
The folks entered his zone
The bird sure was miffed
The bird stopped singing in Spring
Queen nature was fond of hearing
She asked the bird, the reason
Humans are people of treason
The bird replied, flapping its wings
Queen nature was really angry this time
Her fury rose, thinking of the crime
The waters rose sky high
The volcano erupted into the sky
The humans begged for mercy, one more time
Queen nature had a kind heart
She knew that some were good at heart
The bird started singing
Children started playing
The humans devoted themselves to nature and art

I write poems to express myself. I started writing at the age of twelve or so and some of my poems were published in magazines for children, a time when print still ruled the world. The internet and the blogging world has helped me write poems. Most of it was as I wrote earlier, to express myself and my thoughts. I have also been a ghostwriter.
Steemit has helped me write with freedom and also earned me very good friends who encourage me to write. I hope my readers will support me and also join in this contest. I am not a student of literature and so I do not consider myself an expert in poetry. It is the judge who will decide.

Very creative the way you connect mother nature reconciling with humans. You poem also highlights the rudeness toward nature, which is redeemed when humans mostly face hardship.
