Nirvana
The small room
the crowded road
the dusty atmosphere
the poverty that 'hangs' in the air
tourists, mostly backpackers
searching for a cheap stay
street food stalls
offering hot foods
the city roads are well lit
posh hotels and rich guests
dishes are gourmet
yet it lacks the 'warmth' of the roadside food stall
the life on planet Earth is full of irony
those who 'observe' and 'understand' attain Nirvana

I write poems to express myself. I started writing at the age of twelve or so and some of my poems were published in magazines for children, a time when print still ruled the world. The internet and the blogging world has helped me write poems. Most of it was as I wrote earlier, to express myself and my thoughts. I have also been a ghostwriter.
Steemit has helped me write with freedom and also earned me very good friends who encourage me to write. I hope my readers will support me and also join in this contest. I am not a student of literature and so I do not consider myself an expert in poetry. It is the judge who will decide.

It's like we're one big process happening simultaneously all the time except the only time is now and the only place where you can be is here so all you can really do is enjoy what you have until you are through.
And the next moment starts with opening doors to a land of yours.
@spellmaker drifted away a little bit there. Somehow thinking of that Nirvana unaware that it's already here.
Anyway - a meaningful poem that had the sight appear in my mind where everyone's going by but I'm just sitting and smoking my pipe with friends and whatever the person comes. #legalize
