The challenge
The challenge of being true to oneself
without giving up one's ideals
life can be demanding
but always be uncompromising
Think about life
is it worth talking about, to one's grandkids
reboot it if you disapprove of yourself
you write your own fate
The next moment is yet to come
you can decide what it should become
fill it with love and trust
so that you get back the best
Never waste a moment, complaining about silly things
just look around and know that you have already been blessed
(Think of those unfortunate people next time you complain about some silly thing. Some people do not even have enough food to eat. Reading this post by @goel.tarun left me thoughtful and emotional. Look at the child who looks at the birthday boy. how he would have wished to have his own birthday cake too.)

I write poems to express myself. I started writing at the age of twelve or so and some of my poems were published in magazines for children, a time when print still ruled the world. The internet and the blogging world has helped me write poems. Most of it was as I wrote earlier, to express myself and my thoughts. I have also been a ghostwriter.
Steemit has helped me write with freedom and also earned me very good friends who encourage me to write. I hope my readers will support me and also join in this contest. I am not a student of literature and so I do not consider myself an expert in poetry. It is the judge who will decide.

Wow! These lines are so powerful @sayee. Oftentimes, we fail to realize how much God has blessed us, and we still go around complaining about our lives.
Meabwhile, there are many people out there with lesser living conditions wishing they have what some people are not grateful for.
We should learn to enjoy life no matter where we are.
The next moment is yet to come
you can decide what it should become...
Our position in life is actually as a result of the choices we make.
That's why we should spend our present moments, charting a better course for tomorrow.

This says it all right there. Tony Robbins - a hero of mine - says if you're life isn't worth writing / journaling about then it's not worth living haha... not quite in those words but that sentiment - make sure life is exciting and worth recording!
