Simple Fractions Using Fraction Models
In this post we will discuss fractions. Fractions are the numbers. We need fractions to represent parts of a whole, or parts of a group or set. For example; consider there is one pizza cut into 8 equal slices. Each slice is part of the whole pizza and we need fractions to represent these slices of pizza.

12 inches is a foot.
But you're right, it's better to cut a strip of paper than to chop up a foot (lol).
