Children fundamentally change the life of their parents. For the many pleasures children bring, parents also have to make a few sacrifices - at least, as long as the kids are young. Therefore, you learn to appreciate a few small things as parents. Here is a list of small pleasures that parents find true luxury.
An evening on the sofa for two, without disturbance
A bath - in peace
A walk to the bathroom where nobody bothers
An evening for two in the restaurant
Celebrate properly and not have to think about the next day
A hearty breakfast - no grunts, mess or shouting
Sex - without the fear of eavesdroppers or interruption
A clean apartment - at least for a few hours

To sleep once a weekend
Enough space in your own bed - and no kicks in the night
A meal that is still warm when you come to eat it

A conversation among adults that is about a different subject than children - and that is not interrupted by small people
Watch a movie at home without interruption
Seven hours sleep at one go - without disturbance
No visit to the doctor for three months in a row - not even at the pediatrician
A home-cooked healthy food that everyone tastes - or at least not bitched ;-)
A little time for yourself - for sports, a book, a walk to the hairdresser or just to relax
