Who are all the "beggars" here who sneak around in the Steemit Society and make a culture we do not want.
We know beggars on the streets, many of them do an honest job or appearance to get some coins in the bowl so that they have food that day or something else. It's good that we also give some coins to them. They can we relate to.
But beggars who now flood the comment fields on our posts are too bad for many. And are you good at giving upvot to comments they are there just once you post a new post. They have not even read it because you look at what is written. These are typical words that are cut to paste and they use the same on multiple posts.
The examples should I not write because you know them.
And then you have those who repeat the same meaning up to several times instead of posting it in a comeback hoping that they will get upvot on everyone, other followers, and do the same. This ruins the quality of those who read and comment.
When the rows downward become long with such attempts to be upvoted.
And then you have all those who ask to read their posts and they have added a link wishing to be upvoted because they have done the same to you..This is spam.

Know that there are many spam robots on Steemit and we do not like it either.
But I will take the group of beggars who want to be seen to earn a little.
Most of the people "beggars" are new to Steemit and do not know better. Therefore, they learn the mistakes of others who do the same mistake and it only increases in scope.
This is where we have to help and tell that what they are doing is wrong. Tell us that we see this as spam and that they can be flagged. Remember how it was when you started in Steemit and were lucky enough to get guidance. This also applies to me in my initial phase.
Everyone here has been a beginner.
Everybody should help everyone when we see this and tell them in a good way about how it should be done. There may be some friends for life and will be good followers.
We will not judge it, we will help them in the easy way.
Let the start of 2018 be one of your goals here to help "beggar" on track and it will also give a preventative effect. Let's grow together to become even more with positive settings for our society.
I've already started and it gives results, remember that Steemit is not just money

I still prefer Steemit to any other site that flashes ads everywhere. Despite the spam, this is a clean interface. A zero vote for newbies that spam. Flags for continued abuse.
If we remove the money, we remove their motivation.

Steemit is the best find in year 2017 and I'm happy that I watched @jerrybanfield's video and decided to join Steemit. This has proved one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Environment does have a impact on our conscience. So, if we keep it clean, it will help us move in the right direction. I know Cheetah Bot, Steem Cleaners and some reasonable flaggers are continuously playing their key role in this regard but spammers somehow are beating them and doing what they want to do. We all should play our role. @done, I can't agree with you more on it:

Hi @done, of lately I can feel the growing numbers of beggars on Steemit hence these discussions. Coincidently I wrote on the same topic as @xpilar around the same time. It's worrying seeing the rise of spammers everywhere here and mostly are newbies. Although being flagged continuosly by the policing bots and some whales, these spammers just couldn't stop begging. Like they couldn't care less. I even think maybe they have multiple accounts that are causing them to behave this ignorant way. Nevertheless you are right, in comparison to other blogging sites, Steemit environment has a system that assist to maintain a cleaner place here with their bots and flagging system. And of course most importantly a free-ads environment that is one of its best trait that I respect a lot.
Well @done you rightly said Steemit is a clean interface. Spamming should be account strictly and must be stopped by higher authorities to eliminate Plagiarism. Steemit is the name of quality and there should be quality, I do agree with you.

Yes, I agree that Steemit is free of annoying ads. Genuine labour gets the respect here. Money isn't the ultimate reward but grooming and growing together should be the target.

they're giving beggars a bad name imho
it's fun to help minnows but only those who are really trying their hardest to post articles that shows they're exerting their best effort and comments relevantly without slapping your with their post link on their faces

And that's what I'm trying on with this article and make others understand that we can give a helping hand when beginners make a direct mistake. And my experience now is that it helps to tell. But we will never get rid of spam here as long as it's about money.

I remember very well according to your points here "beggars" when I first started here I used to go from post to post looking to comments in order to attract and interact so I could get noticed and ask for upvoted... Have been flagged by some guys for asking them to support my post etc. But I recollect when I met you; you gave me some warm welcome .. looked at my post and support me, I'm very glad to have met you; for your brotherly advice, for light up my talent and for advices.
You know more than what I could explain, I am so greatful !! Glad steemit community has someone like you here.. When we make mistakes like I've done at the start here at Steemit, it's good that someone says and tells us to do it in a different way. I was so lucky and got @englishtchrivy as my friend and she told me how things work here.

Hi @xpilar, like your thinking and my thinking are aligned. I coincidently wrote about the same topic few days ago but I was just reminding them to stop getting flags. These begggars, they just reply to comments with 'upvote me or follow me'... and not even bothered with the topic being discussed. A very irritating attitude that are increasing in Steemit. We can only advice them but they are the one who need to change. Nevertheless you are a kind person that you will guide them. Best wishes for the New Year 😊

I have gained some experience with it over time.
And often, there are many new beginners like hermer that way after others and think that they can open to being seen. In fact, some of my followers today made such mistakes and have now been good bloggers here at Steemit because I told them how it works. And then it's good to do a good deed. But that means we all must try to say this in a good way. But pure spam will never listen and they are flagged
I agree with you @xpilar, pure spammers are so stubborn and they don't even care if they get flagged. But I guess when their reputation level go down they would learn it the hard way.
