Hi @xpilar, like your thinking and my thinking are aligned. I coincidently wrote about the same topic few days ago but I was just reminding them to stop getting flags. These begggars, they just reply to comments with 'upvote me or follow me'... and not even bothered with the topic being discussed. A very irritating attitude that are increasing in Steemit. We can only advice them but they are the one who need to change. Nevertheless you are a kind person that you will guide them. Best wishes for the New Year 😊

I have gained some experience with it over time.
And often, there are many new beginners like hermer that way after others and think that they can open to being seen. In fact, some of my followers today made such mistakes and have now been good bloggers here at Steemit because I told them how it works. And then it's good to do a good deed. But that means we all must try to say this in a good way. But pure spam will never listen and they are flagged
I agree with you @xpilar, pure spammers are so stubborn and they don't even care if they get flagged. But I guess when their reputation level go down they would learn it the hard way.
Yes, they have not understood it with reputation and are punished
