Why don't you get UPVOTES?
UPVOTES are a function of both the quality of the posts
and your popularity on Steemit..
However good your posts are, not many people will see them,
and never you can expect how many UPVOTES will get..
Don't post with an expectation of UPVOTES..

Thanks for this post! Your thoughts are very true. I have seen so many people come and go here, because of several reasons. The main reason is they cant produce good content over a long period of time. Finally, they have no more ideas. But you have it! Greetings from Munich to Romania.

I totally agree with you. The rewards are a nice "thank you" gift, for the valuable contribution you have published. Upvotes are nevertheless important for Steemit. Upvotes get Steemit alive!

You are correct, but if you don't get any upvotes. And you put lots of time in your writing there is no fun in it. So everyday I try to search for some really new members with great quality in their posts to upvote them... I consider it like "paying it forward"...

Yes, ideally that should be the spirit. The problem is many people come here for the sake of making money only. Many think it as an another online avenue to earn money and some unemployed people consider it as a full-time work opportunity. It's only our higher expectations which disappoint us.
Always try comparing the value of content generated by you here vis a vis other platforms. If you think other platforms pay you better, you should better go there. If you are here then enjoy the game 😊! Let's play it for fun!

Great truth you speak of lord. I have been on Steemit a total of 10 days, and love it . The truth is when I came here it wasn't for money , fame or fortune. I did not even know that Steem was a crypto currency.
I came here for personal reasons the most important of all being a place to document my thoughts for future grandchildren to look back and see what the old man had to say.
I got married later in life to beautiful young woman much younger than myself. We have four kids that are my pride and joy.
Here is the thing, my kids never new my parents as they had already passed, if my kids are like me and wait to raise a family there is a real good chance that my grand children will never meet me. By doing my Daily Dose of Sultnpapper blog there will be a written documentation of what my thoughts, opinions and values are.
So I came here for selfish reasons, money being least of all.
The community has been more than welcoming and I enjoy being a part of it and look forward to contributing to the growth and well being of the community now that I have had time to look around.
So if no person reads or up votes my work I take no offense to it, the ones who it is intended for haven't even been born yet.
