Turn time back for a moment and look at what has earned big bucks here on Steemit. Learn from these authors' examples. All credit for the subsequent post goes directly to the authors. Not Me. Authoring a profitable article isn't easy by no means. I, personally, am no professional writer. Yes, I attended and graduated Birmingham-Southern College, Birmingham, Alabama, a respected university of writers, but that in and of itself doesn't qualify Me to write.

DON'T REINVENT THE WHEEL
Remember, as the sages say, "There's nothing new under the sun..." Book of Ecclesiastes, Holy Bible. There's no need to try and come up with something out of thin air. Everything worth writing about is in your sphere of knowledge. What I mean by that is You have five senses.

1. Sight
2. Hearing
3. Taste
4. Touch
5. Smell
   Use Your senses and write articles based on how You perceive the world. And by using Your sesnses to provide You writing ideas then expound on them by researching further.
   LEARN BY EXAMPLE
   Those are My ideas however I've also been taught to learn from other peoples examples. By studying the works of others You advance much quicker and avoid pitfalls. Think about it. Is it not true that we all learn that way? I believe so.
