Welcome to the 17th weekly installment of my series on Steemit income and growth!
Income on Steemit is generated by "investment" (the more Steem you have, the more you earn) and by "work" (earning Steem by contributing content that adds value). Already having invested my savings in Steem, I'm now "working" by uploading unique valuable content to the blockchain. My goal is to increase my average weekly income to 15 Steem.
Calculating weekly income
Considering income from accounts that I own, and that my wife owns, and accounts started as group projects with my funds (currently @drutter, @medikatie, @greatesteem, @hempy, @girlsofgreen, and @sativazeee), here's the running tally:

It was another week of high-quality uploads and writing for my team and me! As pointed out last week, this hasn't necessarily translated into upvotes, and once again we had our worst week ever. At the current average growth rate of 0.87% weekly, it's going to take about 15 months for us to hit our goal.
And that goal is only going to get us about 50 Steem per month, which is only about $70 at current prices. Obviously that's not an acceptable payment for a $4000 investment and 2 years of nonstop effort.
That said, my latest article was recognized as "exceptional content" by several respected Steemian accounts! Payout should get us about 30 Steem, just in time for next week's tally. Our worst week ever is going to be followed by our BEST week ever!
We're going to continue pumping out high quality original posts of Vancouver cannactivism, videos, cannamodeling, articles, and plant photography. GirlsofGreen and DRutter are now both well above 50 rep!
Including 100 SP delegated to us, our team now has 1100+ Steem Power, which we're using to distribute upvotes at full efficiency!

Interesting numbers. I'm not too discouraged anymore. Let's keep grinding :)
The more crypto you make also helps you make better posts in the future; for example, new video-editing software, a better camera, and travelling and doing interesting things all make good posts :) I'm glad that we make content and contribute to the blockchain, even if it's slow-going.
I always tell people steem is a long term investment. There will be ups and downs, good days, great days, but also bad ones. Almost like going to the night club😉 got to keep steemin!
True, but this post isn't about price of Steem. That's a totally different topic. I do technical analysis post from time to time, if you're interested.
