blistering growth - over 1.1% weekly!
Welcome to the 6th weekly installment of my series on Steemit income and growth!
Income on Steemit is generated both by "investment" (the more Steem you have, the more you earn) and by "work" (earning Steem by contributing content that adds value). Already having invested my savings in Steem, I'm now "working" by uploading unique valuable content to the blockchain. My goal is to increase my average weekly income to 15 Steem.
Calculating weekly income
Considering income from all accounts that I own, and that my wife MediKatie owns, and accounts started as group projects with my funds (currently @drutter, @medikatie, @greatesteem, @hempy, and @girlsofgreen), here is the updated running tally:
Week 1 - 0840 (+ ? ) Steem (+?%)
Week 2 - 0848 (+ 8 ) Steem (+0.95%)
Week 3 - 0862 (+14) Steem (+1.65%)
Week 4 - 0868 (+ 6 ) Steem (+0.70%)
Week 5 - 0876 (+ 8 ) Steem (+0.92%)
Week 6 - 0888 (+12) Steem (+1.37%)
Average income = +9.6 Steem per week = +1.11% per week
Week 6 was atypically good. I won 2 SBD from @fishyculture (I counted 1 this week and will count the other on next week's tally). I also gained some mystery delegation on @GirlsofGreen (50 SP), so thank you to whoever that is. And (not that it affects income) I hit 48 rep this week. Bravo, thank you, thank you. This brought the average weekly income up to over 1.1% per week! It will be exciting to see if we can maintain that pace, and next week is looking good already because we've got several large payouts coming!
At an average 1.1% weekly rate of growth, I'll reach my goal in 39 weeks - about 9 months!
Anyone investing some capital and a year of full-time work on a project can expect to be compensated. When I hit my goal, if Steem is $4.25 like it is today, I'll be drawing about $212 (50 Steem) per month as income. It isn't a lot in terms of money, but I'd be doing what I love, and though slowly, my account would continue to grow. That's what I call "Steemit rich".
I want to take a second to thank everybody who has taken part in this adventure in one way or another. You're probably not thanked enough, or appreciated enough, so I hope you know I do appreciate you.
Don't forget to dream, and to believe your dreams are possible - because they are. Believe them, and they're that much closer to reality! Don't discount the possibility of incredibly amazing things happening, including your dreams. Believe in them, and go about making them come true, and they will. Never give up.

I do want you to know I had to sit here and watch my account value go from 8K down to under 3K and now it is recovering again, it can be a roller coaster! I want to encourage you to look into the adsactly account, there is a LOT to digest but the more I learn, the more I am intrigued by what they are doing. I think you would "get it" faster than I am... get over there then come back and explain it to me lol!
Hi again. I've read up on adsactly but I have to admit I'm not speaking the same language they are. I just don't understand what they're about, and it's probably another of those things that would take away time from creating content, my main focus :) But please let me know what your successes with them are!
Yeah, they are trying to create an entire economy based on the blockchain. It is complex, but just follow the account and read their daily post for a while, you will start to get a feel for what the are trying to do. I am mostly lurking still, you sort of need your "business model" to be fully active, they are about walking away from the fiat economy so you have to bring something marketable to the table to fully engage. I am still just blogging but @longsilver and I plan to get a blockchain based business going soon.

As for the roller coaster, point taken. Luckily, my calculations don't have to worry about the roller coaster because my payout will be 50 Steem per month, regardless of whatever that works out to in USD. 9 months if I keep up this pace, I'm very happy about that :)
