growth & outlook improving lately!

Welcome to the 42nd weekly installment of my series on Steemit income and growth!

Income on Steemit is generated by "investment" (the more Steem you have, the more you earn) and by "work" (earning Steem by contributing content that adds value). Already having invested my savings in Steem, I'm now working by uploading unique valuable content to the blockchain. My first goal is to increase my average weekly income to 50 USD.

Calculating weekly income

Considering income from accounts that I own, that my wife owns, and group projects using our funds (currently @drutter, @medikatie, @greatesteem, @hempy, @girlsofgreen, @vantocan, & @sativazeee), here's the running tally:

It was our 6th-best week ever, after a good month or so, allowing my team's numbers to return to normal. It has been a long recovery since HardFork20!

If we can continue with 1% weekly growth, we'll reach our first goal of '$50 per week' when our net worth hits $5000 USD. It would be tomorrow, if Steem went back to $3.88 USD. But if Steem stays at $0.30 USD, we'll need 16667 Steem to be worth 5 grand. That would be years away. So the main factor is Steem's price, and that will make or break many things.

Mission: Agua-Possible

Here is the latest weekly post for M:A-P, a project I started to collect Steem to send to @edgargonzalez for a water pump. When I've got 1300 USD worth of Steem, it will be transferred to him, but until then I'm holding the funds. There's currently 138 Steem toward our goal. It's growing slowly each week, and it functions much like a delegation. I won't get to spend the funds, but while they're on my books, they're helping boost my upvotes and team members. Indirectly, I'll see some growth because of the project. Some of that will go back into pumping up the project numbers, as I donate one 100% upvote per week to the cause. Eventually it will hit 1300 USD in value, and disappear, but the side benefits it created will remain. (That's something I'm noticing now, as opposed to something I planned, but worth mentioning. Initially I had hoped the project would snowball and reach its goal very quickly.)

I mention it because this might be part of the reason for my improving numbers lately. I'm effectively about 10% larger than I would be, without the project, and that has effects. As my total SP grows and we approach completion, I'll probably become about half 'me' and half 'project'. When I shed the project half of my Steem, I should see a measurable drop in team income, and it will be interesting to follow the data here.

I hope I'm not the only one who finds this stuff interesting. I swear, they're going to study this someday. I'm shocked they're not studying it already.
