Every day, I bring you eight posts you should think hard about upvoting and supporting. These are quality posts, well written and good examples of the best the community has to offer. Please consider checking them out, and if you agree, love them up.

Coming in early today with the Best Of, because you all are killing it out there. Great writing in our fiction category, some psychology, and our first-ever double entrant on a single day! And then this: an appeal for help from Portugal (see the “My Feed” category). How about a little help for our friend?

Writing (Fiction): We Have Winners: Urban Legend Flash Fiction Contest by @jrhughes. Several pieces in one, here. With only twenty entries, you’d think the winners would be, maybe, not so good. Hahahahahahaha. Wrong. Although to me, these don’t read like urban legends necessarily, they DO read like cracking great stories, so what do I care?

Writing (Nonfiction): The Psychology of Viralization by @cultura.bitcoin. Solid post on what makes the Steemit go ‘round. “Viral” wasn’t applied to social media until the late 1990s, but the famous Chiat/Day campaign for Sony Playstation in 1995 was the first time anyone attempted to intentionally introduce viral sharing in marketing. Worked okay, I guess...

Writing (Craft): Writing Grit: Use A Bullet Journal To Keep Your Writing On Track by @redhens. One of the most prolific craft writers here on Steemit, @redhens checks in again with an innovative way to help writers stay on track. Personally, I have so many active projects that just remembering them all is a major challenge. This is a system I have to try.

Steemit community: Cheetah Bot Sucks by @jayjayjeffrey. Not all bots are there to help you, and even the “good guys” have their downsides. Be careful of this one, as JJ tells us--bots are no substitute for doing the research yourself.

Introduceyourself: Introduce Yourself: JayJayJeffrey by @jayjayjeffrey. And with this post, she’s achieved something no other Steemian ever has: two mentions in Best Of Steemit on the same day. Great intro post from someone that clearly has writing chops. She’s a voice you’ll want on your feed, I guarantee it.

My Feed: It’s 90 Degrees In My Bedroom by @smuggly-sparrow. Steemians, how about coming to this young woman’s rescue? I mean, seriously.

Photography: Black and White Photography: I’m Trying To Find Something by @foxkoit. Amazing to me the beauty of the every-day object. I love having this photographer on my feed. You will, too.

Special Prize: Straight Out Of The Victorian Era by @illglory. The photos are good. The intro is intriguing. But look at the personal logo! Seriously, that thing is a work of genius!

I don't like grammar and spelling errors. I make them, but I hate them. Unless the post is supremely brilliant, even a couple of these--especially in the title--will mean it doesn't make this list. NOTE: if you're writing in your second language, significant slack will be given here. When I write in my second language, I'm lucky if I can be understood at all.

Minnows--I am a minnow, and I'm all in on support for the newbies. Doesn't mean I won't curate a whale post, but it's unlikely. If your rating is over 70, you don't need my help (for whatever it's worth).
