We're Going to SteemFest! And So Are You!
We just bought our plane tickets for Amsterdam and now we want to help you buy yours!

We have booked our room at VolksHotel and want to remind everyone to book their room now because the deadline for a guaranteed room there is tomorrow, Oct. 12th!

The plane tickets were a bit ridiculous and honestly, the only reason we are going to make it, is because we made it a priority so we did what we had to do. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to travel and take a break from the grind while making some SP along the way! We had to sell some things and use all the savings we had, but we believe in Steemit and think 1000 SP each makes it worth the trip. Plus there is a chance for some travel reimbursement so we decided to do what was needed to make it happen!
Interacting with the Steemit community
With Steemit, not only do you get paid fo doing what you want to do and writing about it, you can be rewarded by interacting with the community. This includes curating but there is so much more.

From my wallet you can see where I won my SteemFest ticket from @infovore and where I've won a little Steem with SteemSports. I wanted to share that as an example of how interacting with the Steemit community can be a rewarding experience. I also won @cryptocameo's contest a few weeks ago! And now my SteemFest Ticket! This is the most I've ever won in my life! Steemit is AWESOME! I love every part of it - curating, writing, and seeing cool projects like - @curie, @robinhoodwhale, SteemSports from @thecryptodrive, SteemFest from @roelandp, SteemMag from @infovore, BeyondBitcoin from @officialfuzzy, SteemPrentice from @virtualgrowth, @rubellitefae & @sykochica, SteemTrail from @instructor2121 and many others.
The opportunity to meet the community in such a cool way makes the trip worth it in itself.
I was lucky enough to win my SteemFest ticket from @infovore through SteemMag, so now we are going to try to pay it forward to another lucky Steemian to help them make it to SteemFest! There is also another ticket or two to win so we will be watching for that in SteemMag's next issue and you should too!
Making the Dream a Reality
SteemFest Dreamers has already bought SteemFest tickets for @mrwang and @the-future. We have also made a few small donations to a few other Steemians, but now we want to try to help a lucky Steemian make their SteemFest dreams come true with a big lump sum to pay for things like airfare and lodging! One of my greatests gifts to Steemfest will be my artistic eye in photographing the event. I'm truly great at capturing the moment, so I have much to offer this community and am grateful for the opportunity to be making a difference.
I am a full time volunteer at the @gardenofeden and hence have no income to purchase tickets, hotel, airfare, etc. It would be a dream come true to attend and participate in this Steemfest event. Steemit is a huge part of my everyday life --it's truly a dynamic exchange as it appears to be developing in alignment with my values.
I would be incredibly blessed to receive assistance in realizing this Steemfest dream. I admit it feels a bit weird to be asking for assistance for myself, as I live my life in service to others. I am accustomed to reinvesting all that is received into feeding, housing and educating people. As is in my nature, I will guarantee, without a doubt, I will multiply the gift and pay it forward.

I am super excited to teach yoga in Amsterdam! I have an abundance of treasure to share from this ancient art/science, and I'm just bursting to spread the wealth with this inspiring community!
I normally devote all my resources towards feeding, clothing, housing, and educating people as a full time volunteer at the @gardenofeden; plus, I do not support central banks or the global military industrial complex, and thus I do not have money to spend.
I am dedicating the rewards from my daily yoga posts towards my goal of getting to Steemfest and finding accommodations -- this is the link to my campaign! It is my Steem dream to acquire a plane ticket just from SBD generated in support of the valuable gift of yoga I'm already bringing -- this is the new economy!!

First off, I would like to say how awesome this is! To see people coming together for one common purpose is without a doubt, the most inspiring message that can be given.
I have booked my hotel, bought my steemticket, and now... I need a plane ticket to make it to Amsterdam. Whether I win the ticket or not, I will make it because...Where there is a will, there is a way! If I have to catch train to Miami, Fl then hitch a boat ride all the way to Amsterdam, so be it!!
When getting involved into the blockchain several years ago, I had no idea what I was doing. All I knew is that this was it. Then @steemit came along to lighten the way. Wait, you mean to tell me I can share things and earn profit from just simply revealing information about what I know, love, like, create, etc...? I was hooked instantly! And now, here we are. Namaste~!

I want to go to bestow my gift of satire. Spoiler alert: Large hookers in whale suits escorting me in. I just really don't have the money. I wish I did. I'd love to hangout with everyone. I have my passport ready and have found cheap flights but working for a non-profit doesn't allow me to EVER have money in my pocket.
no money here either...and no passport. I think mine expired when I was like 10 years old. LOL I'm shooting for next year. It would be a great 10th year wedding anniversary/vacation for hubby and I. We never had a honeymoon :)

Another project that I am taking part in is MapalaNet, which is going to be a site for travellers on the Steem blockchain. @anasya is going to do the presentation, and I will be taking part and answering the questions.
We've scheduled a presentation slot for Sunday, all that is left is to get the tickets, and get there. 8)
