Hi all

Following an attempt at gathering a list of all the attendees to Steemfest 2 in Lisbon this year, I thought it would be interesting to look into what other information I could find that may be of interest prior to the event.

In today's blog (which took a fair amount of time to create to say the least!), I present to you information regarding the tags used by this years' Steemfest attendees.

This table presents the 3 most popular tags each attendee has used throughout their blogging career on the Steem Blockchain. The table is ordered alphabetically by first tag, which is the also the most popular tag each attendee has used.

Ordering the table by each users most popular tag roughly groups users together. It's quite easy to spot the Artists, and Photographers for example.

Pressing 'Ctrl' + F when using a PC, should bring up the 'Find' box. Entering 'Art', for example, here should allow quick searching of users who have 'Art' as a second or third most popular tag.

The 10 most popular tags used by Steemfest attendees

Our attendess have used over 10000 different tags in the creation of their blogs, but which tags are the most popular?

The next table displays the 10 tags that are used the most by the vistors to Lisbon this year.

Life is leading the way (as it should?!), being the most popular tag for 29 attendees and represents 7% of the total tags used.

These top 10 tags represent 32% of all the tags used.

Two tags I wouldn't have guessed to appear in the top 10 are 'story' and 'writing'. @vcelier, @michelle.gent, @ezzy have their top tag as 'story', and @theowlhours and @artist1989 have used 'writing' more than any other tag.

The Steemfest attendees list

The base data and inspiration for the information above came from the idea to create a list of all the users heading to Portugal this year. I posted this list in a blog last week, and have continued to update it following comments, @roelandp's blog, and a check in @steemfest's wallet.

I'm hoping we have most attendees now on the list below, but if you are not present then please let me know.

I'll continue to update it as and when I receive new information, and this will be the last blog I write containing the list (I promise!).

I hope you have found the data --> information in today's blog useful. The process took me much longer than I initially expected, both to write and execute the queries involved. One query took over 5 hours to complete- Linked server connections with string manipulation do not seem to be the quickest, although my SQL scripting could also be at fault!

In other news...

It would be great to hear about what Steemfest attendees (and everyone else of course) think about @ned's recent decision to take back 3 million delegated Steem Power from 6 (of the 7) users he distributed it to on the 8th August.

I'd love to have the chance to ask him about this at Steemfest!
