Make More Gaming DAPPs, Gaming And How It Brings On Users To A Blockchain

I am a big gamer!

I recently made myself an EOS account because I had 150 something EOS from back in the day. I started playing EOS Knights and its fun. The process was about the same as making a Steem account I would say. Have to have a certain amount staked/lockedup/delegated to it for bandwidth. Looks like Tron is the exact same way as well as I recently discovered.

A lot of people started playing Tron Goo which recently released( I actually sat this one out because I didn't have the time). A good post by @cryptoitaly (highlights what Tron Goo is and how it works)[https://steemit.com/gaming/@cryptoitaly/tron-goo-a-free-competitive-browser-game-converted-from-eth-blockchain].

The game has something like 8.3 million Tron in it right now(like 240k USD). When you buy upgrades/units that Tron goes into the pay out pool. People build up their attack/def/stealing power and attack eachother for Goo. Daily payouts happen based on what is in the pot and your share of the daily rev. This game had almost 0 advertising on it also, I am really active in their discord from a previous game so I know this for a fact. As soon as they released the game onto Tron day one they were up to a few million Tron in the pay out pot. I think the future is gaming to be honest, it seems to be the best way to bring people in with littler to no advertising(literally just existing is enough).

I have always had ETH and never did anything with it beyond storing it on a wallet(queue the Store of Value memes). When CryptoKitties came out I downloaded metamask and started playing it. Since then I have played 10 or so ETH games, as well as Steem Monsters on Steem. Some of them have been ok and others are pretty fun. There really isn't much selection right now so you have to settle for what is there. Huge opportunities exist right now for someone who makes the first MMO of World of Warcraft or Runescape tier quality. Just something fun to play and socialize with your friends in, maybe even a Second Life clone?

Steemit INC's Message Still Seems To Be Getting Paid For Social Media

I strongly agree with what Dan Larimer said awhile back, that Steem should be an all purpose blockchain. He left and made/co-founded EOS which is really taking off. I still think Steemit INC can do such a thing and I believe they do need to make SMTs, and have higher tx/sec to enable many different things.

Steemit in my opinion hasn't gotten it right, because they should have been focusing on putting out the message that it is an all purpose blockchain called Steem where many DAPPs can be made. EOS puts that message out and that's what people know it for. Everywhere I see someone mention Steemit(on reddit or twitter) they think the Steem blockchain is still just some "social media ninja-mined nonsense".

Steem Resource Credits, EOS and REX

I said in a few comments months ago when we were going into Resource Credits there should be a way to sell excess Resource Credits. That brings the price down for all the DAPPs who need to use resources. EOS is enabling REX which will allow people to sell their excess bandwidth. On EOS they figured out something like 99.5% of all EOS holders/stakers don't use their bandwidth at all.

It is most likely the case, that almost nobody is fully using their Resource Credits daily. Which in turn is a huge amount of waste. The system SHOULD be giving skewed data on the true cost of Resource Credits currently, because we don't know what a fully utilized systems actually looks like.

The gaming aspect has gotten me to play Steem based games, ETH based games, EOS based games. Playing video games and earning cryptocurrencies is just fucking awesome!

Thanks for reading :)

I really like the idea playing blockchain fueled games and earning crypto as you go. The entire business model of selling a game for $50-$60 and having people pay to play online, (Blizzard Entertainment), seems weak compared to giving a game away that is tied to a crypto that is generated by playing. Would like to see links and howto's on some of your favorites.
