STEEM marketcap recovering. // How high can we go?
Firstly i want to stress that im no financial expert and my knowledge of the crypto market is only as good as the knowledge of crypto market "experts"... I know as little as they do. haha
That being said, i wont go into why we just jumped more then 10 places in Market cap.... but if i were to venture a guess...
I could say that we had consistently low daily volumes, reached a arbitrary bottom at which no one was willing to sell their STEEM. That tied into only 20% of all STEEM being on exchanges moved the price up...
Or it could be for absolutely no reason at all because crypto markets are stupid. Haha.
Seems like the more crap that happens on STEEM the more the price goes up. When the layoffs were announced STEEM went up 14%. haha
But honestly... Everything we gained could be gone tomorrow... Its just nice seeing STEEM clawing back up the Market cap ladder. This could restore a bit of the faith of the users, even if it is for a short amount of time.
Ive read Neds post a few days ago where he wished everyone the best in 2019... 15 days after New years... lol.
People just bombarded him from every direction. As much as i think he is a screw up, i kind of felt bad for him.
Then i remembered that he played the guitar when Aggroed was talking to him during the last forum... I stopped feeling bad pretty fast. (That was damn awkward)
When someone keeps getting themselves in trouble with the community over and over again, and the community keeps on being forgiving, when the community finally has enough, i cant blame them for reacting like they do..
With all that being said.... and STEEMIT.INC powering down so much SP, we are still going green. haha..
The more crap happens, the better off STEEM price is...
Or someones pulling strings behind the curtain, pumping the price, and we will plummet to 100th place in MC in the coming days.

I think the best sign is that Steem started its upward trajectory independently, while most of the other cryptos were still following Bitcoin's downward pattern. Maybe the news about Hivemind is helping?
I mean it could be anything, but im not sure if we had that much coverage in the crypto media about Hivemind for it to make that much of a difference. I mean we went from 600k to 15mil in couple days.
That is true. Maybe it did just reach a tipping point, and like you say, people just thought the bottom had been reached and it was time to start buying again. Markets are so irrational!
layoffs are good for investors, that's no secret 😂
Oh yeah, most definitely. I hope STEEM gets hacked.. If layoffs and massive powerdowns do this for us, getting hacked would make the price skyrocket! 😂

When SBD isnt printed, thats the only time i can actually earn some STEEM. Once SBDs start up again, im back to earning $0.2. So leave me alone! hahaha
