Harnessing Momentum to Build Your Steem Profile

in #steem6 years ago

Welcome back, friend. @kenmelendez here excited to share with you today about harnessing momentum to build your Steem profile.

For those of you who are in this thing for the long-run, you have to understand the power that momentum can have in creating results.

When I first started on Steem, I did not know what I was doing. I would post once every 3 days or even once a week, but I was not seeing the results that I wanted to see.

I was wondering why I wasn't achieving certain goals and milestones that I had set for myself. It didn't take me long to realize that it was because I wasn't using momentum to my advantage.

Think of an airplane for a moment. It takes a lot of energy, or momentum, for it to lift off the ground and soar into the air. This analogy applies to your Steem profile. It takes a lot of energy and dedication in the beginning to cause it to take off.

In order for you to harness momentum to build your Steem profile, you need to get really consistent by integrating Steem into every part of your life. One of the most valuable pieces of advice that I received from featured speaker @quinneaker at the Steem Creators Conference last April, was to involve Steem in all parts of my life journey.

I do this by posting videos on @dtube, by posting photos on @steepshot, and by posting podcasts on @dsound. I am taking action everywhere so that I can build my momentum and keep it going.

In the movie Finding Nemo, Dory the fish has a saying she likes to say..."Just keep swimming, just keep swimming". The way to harness momentum on Steem is to just keep posting, just keep posting :) Now keep in mind, when you post, make sure you put plenty of thought into your content and aren't just posting randomly.

You see, you have to know what you want in order to know which direction to head in. Where do you want your Steem profile to be in 6 months, a year, or 5 years from now. Just imagine how big you can grow your profile if you keep your momentum going for the next 5 years! Wow.

Once you start seeing results show up over and over again, it will become kind of addicting which is a good thing. Get addicted to growth and to becoming a better content creator.

Become addicted to spreading value and to improving the community at large. Keep growing, keep learning, and keep sharing your life with others. Have a vision that is larger than yourself so that it pulls you towards your goals.

Another thing that will keep your momentum going is to get EXCITED about the future and how bright it is going to be. Steem is expected to take off in a BIG way, and it is exciting to be involved in this blockchain social media revolution that is happening as we speak.

I hope that this vlog proved valuable to you...if it did feel free to upvote and leave a comment below. I want to hear your thoughts on this topic. Do you have any tips you would like to share that helps to build momentum?

When you keep the momentum going on Steem, you will experience results like you never have before. You will meet people you didn't expect to meet. You will travel to places you didn't expect to travel to. Things will start to shift in BIG ways for you even faster than you thought possible.

I believe in you friend, you can do this! I am in your corner rooting for you.

As always, remember...YOU ARE AWESOME.

Take care.

Great job Ken!!! It is daunting when you start out. It feels so slow starting out, but, then, it starts to snowball if you stick with it!!

That is the key @thehoneys. Sticking with it requires a vision. Motivation only pushes you so far until a vision pulls you the rest of the way.

Wow! Momentum is definitely critical to rising on steemit. It's important to hold it. I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for Sharing Ken.

@starkemmy you need to experience it for yourself to see the power of momentum firsthand. What is your goal on Steem a year from now?

Thanks for the question, really got me thinking and projecting.

I will do what you told me . Patience , hard work and consistency . These three will make you successful in any activity , learning other language , learning new stuff , learning how to make nice videos . You are awesome too bro

@serfer307 you are so right. Those 3 characteristics take time to build but are needed in order to succeed long-term.
