As We Count Down to Block 300000

NOT LONG NOW

In the past two weeks there has been a buzz around the #smartcash community as the #smartnode was launched and members rushed to setup their nodes with all imagined configuration which of course make up with its own challenges. in response to the challenges many useful tips and guides to help the community manage this change has been put in place which can be found on the official smartnode site: http://smartnodes.cc/
Here on steemit we have not been left out. We have @controllinghand guide on how to monitor your smartnode, something you will be needing in the days ahead. We also have a very easy to follow video for Mac users by @hannahlicious on how to set up your smartnode. There are a host of great guides I have read and referenced evidence of a generous community spirit.

READY SET GO

At the time of writing the number of #smartnodes already setup are 4264 see website by @bitcoiner. some time in the next few hours we will be getting to block 300000 which signals the point at which #nodesrewards would kick in. As we wait for our rewards let us not forget:

• Be patient it will get to your turn eventually. There is no need for apprehension or fear just relax.
• Let us not forget to continue being respectful with to each other
• Be accommodating: There may be some teething problems, not uncommon with project launches. As a Certified Software Tester with over 15years believe me when I tell you there is always room for one little surprise. I will tell you a story. On my last project with an Energy Trading one. All levels of testing was done on the new Invoice with focus on everything you could think of we even choose the fonts to be consistent with the Business needs. Since it was an Agile project the Business was very involved and I constantly walked through the new process and reports getting their feed back on their processes, laws, regulations, layout details and translation (Spanish). Finally the project went live and I heard they could not print out the Invoices! I was shocked as I specifically asked the document to be printed out on all sizes of papers they usually use all time during our remote business testing as I worked with the team. Well the problem was nothing to do with the release but to do with a simple thing we take for granted "Times New Roman or Arial" fonts. This business unit did not have this font on their server so invoices could not be rendered as this was the font associated with the report during development.
• Do not forget to say thank you to the team that has put this in place
• Take time to read and understand the documentation already in place - you may find the answer to the question you are about to ask.
• Expect new sets of challenges to come up and be determine to handle yourself with dignity as you go through it
• Finally, please don't be one of those who scream scam when they do not understand educate yourself.
