The latest threat for this is the adverse program code called ADB.Miner, which has infected many Android devices last week. Security researchers of the 360 ​​Netlab have warned that malicious code is rapidly spreading, including with smart TV users, multimedia devices, and other systems based on Android platform.

ADB.Miner is spreading via Android Debug Bridge technology and port:5555, which should basically be disabled, but this is not the case for an unknown reason. The malicious code is actually spreading through these ports using the ADB software tool. After a successful infection, ADB.Miner begins to use the processing power in order to mining Monero cryptocurrency. Older Android devices, in certain cases, can become completely useless.
