Sankofa Creative Competition #3 Opens! Last Week's Winner Announced and $$Rewarded$$

We are making progress. Last week was another exciting one for the Sankofa Creative Competition that is committed to explore native African wisdom and promote it on the steemit community.

Last week we tasked you on digging into African proverbs. Here are the entries from many corners of our beautiful continent.

1. @lordmok shared a Yoruba proverb that advices you to avoid the trap of a parent's invitation to beat their child. Find it here.

2. @mr-aaron dropped a bomb proverb on why you should not "give away your vagina." Yeah. We all have one. Find that here.

3. Then there was another Yoruba proverb by @romantic4 with a lot of lessons on truth always catching up with lies. Great stuff. Here.

4. @tj4real from distant Ghana sent in a Twi proverb esteeming PROVERBS as a language of the wise. I remember personally as a kid being told you know a wise man from the quality of his proverbs. Read it up here.

5. @thatdamiguy dropped some master level wisdom on why you should not be hasty to envy or judge others, because, like our elders say, the "chickens sweat [but] it's because [of] their feathers [that] we don't notice." Get it in full here.

6. And finally @dante31 who bossed the previous week with his winner post shared this week the proverb/story of a king and two "wise men" who had to prove their mettle when there was a dispute. Read it here.

It was really a tough call to make as the entries were mind blowing. But we had to come down to a final 1.

☑ Only original works are accepted.

☑ Be sure to use the sankofacomp tag on your entry post.

☑ Use "Sankofa Creative Competition 3" as part of your post title.

☑ Entry submission closes on midnight of Saturday.

b. Judging will now factor in the amount of votes your entry comment gets. We advice you attach a little blurb with your link to attract people to open and decide if to vote for you. One person can only vote upto two entries that aren't theirs.
