How to make hot sandwiches with tomatoes and cheese sauce in your kitchen

Ingredients

• 5 tablespoons of unsalted butter;
• ½ small bulb;
• ½ cup sifted flour;
• 1 ½ cup of milk;
• 2 tablespoons grated hard cheese + ½ cup for sprinkling;
• salt - to taste;
• ground black pepper - to taste;
• 4 slices of rye bread;
• 2 small tomatoes.

Preparation

Put 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan and melt them over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and fry it for 2 minutes until it softens. Put in the flour and cook another minute, stirring occasionally. Pour in the milk and stir for 2 more minutes until the mixture thickens.

Remove the stewpan from the fire. Add 2 tablespoons of grated cheese, salt, pepper and stir well the sauce.

Fry the bread on both sides and spread it with the remaining butter. Place on each slice 2 tablespoons of cheese sauce and 3 thin slices of tomato. Salt and pepper to taste.

Sprinkle the sandwiches with grated cheese and put it in the microwave so that it is straightened. Before serving, season the dish with ground pepper.
