In my Bare Bones Summary of the Information War, I noted some of the possible players. Before I expand and clean up that post to reblog, I want to provide a list of resources for background study, ESPECIALLY in the areas of critical thinking and propaganda.
Be aware of binary thinking, and don't fall in love with one theory. Understand your biases. Understand that MOST people don't care OR don't want to get involved. Conserve your emotion.

Well said. I think I have something like said that in one of my works on the Trivium Methodology in reference to fallacies. Know how to spot erroneous thinking, more than knowing what to call someone's erroneous thinking ;)

The Trivium is key to effective thought. In the classical era it was taught before anything else. I find rhetoric particularly useful in not only creating my own arguments but understanding other people's as well.
I guess that I am going to have to find a good source to learn it then.
I have understood rhetoric to mean not just expressing an argument but expressing it in a persuasive mode.
Kind of but it's deeper than that. It's all about choosing an angle and supporting your thesis but at the same time you realize that your angle is only one of infinite angles and that other people are coming from equally valid angles. In a lot of ways it's the "consider the source" part of critical thinking in incredible depth. The rhetorical appeals are some of the most critical elements of which there is 3 types, the logos, pathos, and ethos. Decoding those really help with critical thinking. For example, we were discussing David Seaman and how his videos tend to center around himself. That is basically appeals to the ethos which are basically reasons the person should be considered credible. He also uses too many appeals to the pathos, which is pulling on the emotions of the audience. Both of those are important in effective arguments esp when applied properly but if they are leaned on too much with not enough emphasis on appeals to the logos which are essentially facts and figures and hard data your argument will appear weak to anyone applying critical thinking.

You want to fix a real life or blockchain problem, Take his ass out, and let the blockchain flourish. Take out the real trash. My flags and spam messages trying to have an equal voice never made me less than any of you. And we all well know, we see my messages as I go 1 by 1. So my friends, since this tyrannical person wants to continue to abuse others, I will remain on the server with all accounts live until @berniesanders is in the -negative reputation. I want him to know what it is like to be attacked into silence. We will see how he spams then to be heard. That is now the only cure for this virus created by abuse on humanity.
