Yes, indeed... Messengers come in many forms. One of my latent articles is hoped to be about the (at least) three primary kinds of "angels" encountered in the bible...

Yup. I haven't shopped yet. I'm keeping it simple, but still. Then we have the grandkids coming over for movie night and I am cooking dinner on Sunday. I don't want to shop on Saturday, no thanks!!!

My understanding is that they are both blindingly bright and terrifying to look at.

yes...agreed...parents are responsible and based on the current policy..parents would have to ban Steemit...if Steemit wants to create an environment for all...then yes filters, codes/app as one of the witnesses has mentioned would need to be applied. Wonderful to have dialogue concerning this topic as it certainly must be approached with objectivity.
One always seeks to be cautious in this matter since.....as the story goes when the Communists entered China..the first thing they told the missionaries in order to gain their cooperation is that they would rid the cities of opium dens and whore houses which they did. Then they went about getting rid of everything else including the missionaries.
I think @bleujay presented a good poem.
As a "principled anarchist" myself (actually, technically a "thearchist"), my position is that it is entirely the parents' responsibility to guard their children. Having said that, I think a community like Steemit at the very least ought to make that an easy job for the parents by implementing appropriate filtering mechanisms.
it's ironic how people will accept the possibility of aliens visiting our planet before they'll accept the prospect of angelic visitors from another realm. You suggest that in the words, 'ethereal band' and 'unearthly realm'. Maybe we should refer to heaven as another dimension or a parallel world :)
All part of my "nefarious plan" here... ;)
It is my hope that by re-framing the story in "non-traditional" language, it may better communicate a little of the incredible impact and immediacy of the utterly unconventional events as they unfolded.
And, I do believe that heaven is very much "a parallel world." Consider, for example:
By God's grace, believers live and truly exist simultaneously in "another dimension." Parallel worlds, indeed! ;)
