Tracks across the snow
Breaking the delicate crust of freshly laid snow
Prints trace their way across the rooftops
Discovered by the morning sun
As its spotlight illuminates the scene.
What beast has roamed as we sleep?
Breathing heavily through the icy air.
A creature of gigantic proportions
That stalks in the dead of night?
Or something of more humble size?
Maybe a a midnight hunter
A moonlit mouser
A purring lover of cream.
A little about @amoment:
My aim is to bring small moments of reflection to your day. A mixture of my poetry and photography, best enjoyed with a cup of coffee during a moment of quiet and calm.
Two members of the cat family are distinct from all others: the clouded leopard and the cheetah. The clouded leopard does not roar like other big cats, nor does it groom or rest like small cats. The cheetah is unique because it is a running cat; all others are leaping cats. They are leaping cats because they slowly stalk their prey and then leap on it.
