Photomag competition - Macro Monday - Big eyes!
First day of @photomag competition starts with macrophotography and certainly, although I had a busy day, I do not want to lose the start! I have to admit that I have discovered the wonderful world of insects and very small things through the camera lens.
As a definition, macro photography means shooting small and very small objects up to a reproduction ratio of 1: 1. The reproduction ratio is the ratio between the actual size of the subject and the size of its image on the sensor or film.
The simplest way to get macro photos is by using a dedicated macro target. Most of my photos are made with the Lens lens: Sigma 105mm f / 2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro.
This is a jumping spider I found in the mint pot on the balcony.
Camera: Nikon D5200
Lens: Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro
Settings: f /11, 1/320sec, ISO 100

Thank you, @isabelpena! You are nice to say that!
Excellent macro shot! very cool! love the colors and eyes :) awesome job!
Thank you, my dear @ykdesign! The eyes are frightening! It seems to be looking at me. I can see the reflection in its eyes !!😀
First off a very very nice shot. Tiny can be so beautiful at times.
The Sigma Lenses, are you happy with the performance of them and the quality? You are the second one on Macro Monday that have Sigma Lenses, I have a Nikon D7500, and was wondering about the quality of the lenses from Sigma, how they stack up with the NIkkor lenses.
I am very pleased with all the Sigma photo lenses. I own a Sigma 105mm f / 2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro, Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM and Sigma 10-20mm f / 3.5 EX DC HSM and with all we have achieved good results. All work well with my Nikon D5300. What may be the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro Lens' biggest strength is image sharpness. The macro lens has a single drawback. It has a big weight for my hands that are not so strong! 😀
good picture
Amazing shot @ileana56. What great eyes!
