Ever totally missed a season?steemCreated with Sketch.

If the missing season was winter, probably nobody would really mind. But Wellington New Zealand has just missed summer, and gone straight from spring to winter (yes, we have missed autumn as well).

We have never experienced anything like it. I'm certainly not a supporter of the "global warming" or "climate change" con jobs, but even I have to admit this weather is REALLY odd...

There were a couple of days in the season usually known as summer here (Jan - Mar) when the sun came out, but mostly it not only rained, it rained hard and was fairly cold too. It's windy and pissing down again today.

I've taken to getting photos of rainbows because at least they are sort of gaps in the rain!

MY WHOPPING GREAT STEEMIT SIGNATURE

Because sometimes I like to do short posts with pictures, art, photos, and funny stuff, and then there is bugger all in my post, I need a whopping great signature to put at the bottom of my short posts to give them some beef.

On my longer posts I’m really just including it to go on about myself, but what the hell, we all need to blow our own trumpet sometimes.

@sift666 is my Steemit alias. As 666 is the number following 665 and preceding 667, and I’m using the number here on my Steemit account, it might mean I’m a worshiper of Satan. Or it could indicate that I have troll tendencies I need to work out with myself.

My real name is Ian Gregson, aka wheels007. I’m a professional sifter from Wellington New Zealand. My interests include photography, conspiracies , web design, writing, nutrition, art, design, philosophy, technology, anarchy, health, computers, humour (humor), gratuitous arse shots, and anything that makes my eyes bulge while I make squeaking sounds (except torture).

Back in the glory days of Steemit (August 2016), I once made $404 for a post and went on a three day bender. It took months to work off the after effects of the hangover and I’m still attempting to understand how that ever happened.

I’m currently developing a new website portal to rival Steemit called www.frot.co.nz where I’m testing out a new feature called “frottage” that may revolutionise blogging and create a global paradigm shift.

Photos and pictures labeled @sift666, www.sift.co.nz or www.frot.co.nz are my own creations, while pictures with no credits are either ones I found in my image collection and have no idea where they originally came from, or sometimes they are my own photos that I haven't put a signature on.

Otherwise, due to pressure to conform, I’m having a crack at including an image credit beneath each picture I copy off the internet. I do have opinions on this subject, but am practicing putting a sock in it.

To tell the truth I often have no idea what I’m going to post next, but I will be sure to include pictures. If you are a person who prefers mainstream opinion, my posts may not be entirely your cup of tea. But if you like to dwell on the wild fringes of conspiracy theory, or you are a whale with a massive blowhole, you might like to follow me on Steemit. It would be great to have you on board.

And his other selling point, is his woman @kiwideb, who happens to be one of the coolest chics I've met in eons...she writes about nutrition...then headbangs to hardrock ;) hee
Oh, and this weather thing? Last week hubby and I went for motorcycle rides by the lake in light sweatshirts for days in a row, it hit seventy degrees by the end and the day immediately following it was seventeen. And right now? There's a blizzard going on outside...which is only the second hard snow we've had all winter which is supposed to be over in one week.

EDIT: Ooooh, your website has lots of pretty colors I'm a complete sucker for colorful pages.

Awesome - glad to hear Deb has been rocking out with you!

I've actually had a friend say she can't look at my website without getting blurred vision and a headache, so I had to set it all up with a filter system to make it all muted shades of grey so she could read it...

Personally, I go for as much colour as possible

Here is a photo of Deb sunbathing:

Is this representative of your non-summer? She looks melancholy.

Actually that pic is from last winter - the weather now at the end of "summer" is way more unpleasant and we won't be strolling about outside today!

More representative of the faces I usually pull when a camera is pointed in my direction! Melancholy doesn't usually fit me, thank goodness!

@sift666 It's been an odd winter in Toronto, most mild winter I can ever recall! We've had some cold days sure but we had temps also go up to 15 degrees Celsius.

I think/hope it's just an odd year weather wise and pray it's not chemtrail related

Who knows, maybe we just stole your nice weather :)

Classic - you guys must have stolen our summer :)

I think it probably is just an odd year as well- going back through the records a more extreme year for every measure can nearly always be found at some stage in the last century.

It unusual for me to be saying the weather is odd - I've been saying it's pretty standard for about 10 years now.

In 2002 when I first learned about chemtrails, I started looking out for them - I've been all over NZ since, always with a camera in my pocket, taking many thousands of photos - and I've never seen a single chemtrail ever - maybe NZ is too far away for chemtrail planes?

Wellington is kinda famous for it's weather, and not in a safe for picnics sort of way!
