Crossing the Swabian Jura: A two day hike from Ulm to Owen - Part 5, Arriving in Owen
Greetings Steemians!
Welcome to the final section of my long distance hike across the Swabian Jura. You can have a look at the previous parts of my tour here: pt. 1, pt. 2, pt. 3 & pt. 4.
After stepping out of the high moor close to Schopfloch I had about another 10 k left to go to reach Owen, the final destination of my hike. I have to admit that my attention for the surrounding started to fade as my legs were getting tired. The past 50 k have had their impact and so the much-quoted last mile proved to be a tough one indeed.
Despite the physical exertion this hike was a fantastic experience with lasting impressions. 48h of almost complete solitude and undisturbed reflection, embedded in beautiful nature - something that I appreciate as true luxury.

Leaving the high moor.
It seemed almost unreal how neat and tidy everything looked like here. Like a meticulously maintained model landscape.
For those knowing the board game, the big fir appeared to me like taken out of Sagaland).
Slowly but surely I descended from the heights of the Alb plateau.
Down in the valley the village Owen. Finally!

Number of persons met on the track: 0
Number of sentences spoken in 48h: about 5 (an INTJ's dream...)

I can fully relate to this. I love these moments. Beautiful photos @shaka, it must have been a great hike.
ja Shaka du bist halt noch fit. Und natürlich auch sehr schön wenn du für dich allein sein konntest. Da kann man so schön in sich kehren. ist wie Meditation. Also ich führe immer Selbstgespräche wenn ich allein unterwegs bin :-)
Na ja, meine Fitness war auch schon bessser ;) Aber es war tatsächlich ein Genuss, für zwei Tage diese Ruhe zu haben.

Da stimme ich dir zu - das ist echter Luxus (uuuund gesund) Ich habe das in Canada, wo ich ein kleines Fleckchen Erde mein eigen nennen darf mit einem kleinen Cottage drauf und ganz viel Wald drumherum... Nachts - der Sternenhimmel und die absolute Stille (es sei denn es sind Kojoten unterwegs).......
Zu deinen Artikeln: ich mag deine Fotos, die genau diese Atmosphäre widerspiegeln und ich mag deinen Humor, der immer wieder durchblitzt ;-) Deine Abschlussstatistik (ui so viele s) z.B. oder die Speisekarte beim Griechen... ich schätze so kleine feine humorige Seitenhinweise sehr. Noch nicht so wirklich... eigentlich wollte ich das nicht an die große Glocke hängen... mal sehen ;-)

Allein auf weiter Flur, ohne einem Menschen zu begegnen, das wirkt sich auch aufs fotografieren aus, wie man beim Blick auf die entspannenden Bilder glauben mag. 😎
Deine Tour war anscheinend da recht erholsam, wenn man bedenkt dass du auf der ganzen Strecke niemanden begegnet bist. Deine Bilder vermitteln die Ruhe, die auf dem Land liegt. Man kann den bevorstehenden Winter spüren.

Ja, so war es wirklich. Durch den Wetterverlauf während der zwei Tage war es zugleich wie eine Verabschiedung vom Herbst. Seit gestern fällt bei uns bereits der Schnee.
Ha wie geil, meine Heimat :) freu mich schon, mal wieder auf Besuch zu kommen.

Da hast Du wohl noch eine gute Wetterphase erwischt. Jetzt ist ja draußen richtig eklig naß-kalt. Alles grau. Bei uns in Wertheim sieht man die Sonne wegen der 2 Flüsse oft wochenlang nicht, was immer auf die Stimmung schlägt. Resteemed.
Bei uns ist jetzt auch endgültig die graue, nass- kalte Phase des Herbstes eingetreten. Bald gibt's den ersten Glühwein;)
