Trip to Montenegro VII - Lokrum Island, Croatia[EN/DE]

Can you see the green island in front of Dubrovnik´s red roofs? This is Lokrum. We visited Lokrum the second and last day of our stay in Dubrovnik. Two or three hours before we had to get the bus back to Budva, Montenegro where our hotel was, we decided to make an adventurous Kajak Tour from the beach on the mainland across the open see to the island. With my camera in a waterproof case we started the tour with our guide.
Könnt ihr die grüne Insel vor Dubrovnik´s roten Dächern sehen? Das ist Lokrum. Am zweiten und letzten Tag unseres Aufenthalts in Dubrovnik machten wir noch einen Abstecher nach Lokrum. Zwei oder drei Stunden bevor wir unseren Bus zurück nach Budva, Montenegro, kriegen mussten, um zurück in unser Hotel zu kommen, entschieden wir uns für eine abenteuerliche Kajak-Tour vom Strand am Festland über die offene See zur Insel. Mit meiner Kamera in einem wasserdichten Behältnis starteten wir mit einem Kajak-Führer.

To get to the moorings we surrounded the island partly, passing beautiful caves and a nudist beach. Sitting inside the Kayak I wasn´t brave enough to pick my camera to take pictures (of the caves of course!).
Um die Anlegestelle zu erreichen, umrundeten wir die Insel zum Teil, fuhren an wundervollen Höhlen vorbei und einem FKK-Strand. Während ich im Kayak saß, war ich nicht mutig genut, meine Kamera herauszuholen um Bilder zu machen (natürlich von den Höhlen!).

When we landed we were welcomed by a little forest, owned by wild peacocks you can find all over the island.
Nach Erreichen der Anlegestelle betraten wir zuerst ein kleines Wäldchen, in Besitz wilder Pfauen, die man auf der gesamten Insel finden kann.

I would really love to show pictures of all the wonderous places and - again - filming locations of Game of Thrones. Unfortunaley we found this little lake called "The dead sea" and we spent too much time swimming in this clear blue water.
Ich würde euch wirklich unheimlich gerne Bilder von all den wundersamen Plätzen und - mal wieder - Drehorten von Game of Thrones zeigen. Aber unglücklicherweise fanden wir diesen kleinen See namens "The dead sea" und wir verbrachten zu viel Zeit mit Schwimmen in dem superklaren Wasser.

After that we hurried through some botanical gardens and ancient buildings. I need to take pictures next time I´m there...When we got back to the beach, we were lucky to find a taxi immediately to get to the big bus station at the other end of Dubrovnik, where we took our bus just in time.
Danach hetzten wir durch botanische Gärten und an Denkmälern vorbei. Wenn ich das nächste Mal dort bin, mache ich Bilder... Als wir zurück am Strand waren, fanden wir glücklicherweise sofort ein Taxi um zum Busbahnhof am anderen Ende zu Dubrovnik zu gelanden, wo wir im letzten Moment unseren Bus bestiegen.

This was the last location I wanted to share with you from my travels to Montenegro in 2012 with @michaeldietrich. Now I say goodby from Montenegro with pictures of leaving the beautiful bay of Kotor, flying home from the airport in Tivat.
Das war der letzte Ort, zu dem ich euch von meiner Montenegro-Reise 2012 mit @michaeldietrich mitnehmen wollte. Jetzt sage ich Lebewohl mit Bildern vom Heimflug vom Flughafen Tivat, gelegen in der wunderschönen Bucht von Kotor.

Howdy again patschwork! I saw your excellent post about part 1 and this is another beautiful article! Wonderful photos, it looks like you all had a great time and the water is that little lake is amazingly clear.
