Mexican Beaches: Pie de la Cuesta

in #photography6 years ago

We went to visit what's become my favorite little beach town near Acapulco. It's a lot like Bonfil which is popular among the anarchist expats during the conference season especially but has a different, honestly less ghetto vibe to it. It's still small and close nit but there's a bit more of a friendly vibe, if anything more of a touristy vibe than down in Bonfil although I wouldn't say that goes as far as people selling you stuff is concerned.

I took all these shots with my phone, this one of a rock face on the way there while leaving Acapulco.

Very cool.

This is a closed down resort that's for sale that we'd love to own one day. It's on both sides of the street and huge, it's got a lot of potential to be made into an eco resort or something of the sort especially considering it has a beach on both the lagoon and sea side.

This bridge goes between the properties so guests can easily go from one to the other.

We drove till we couldn't then got out of the truck and kept walking down quite a ways past a lot of housing that seemed to only be accessible by beach.

Generally there are pretty big waves here, good for surfing. The water itself was cold.

This is the lagoon which runs parallell to the ocean in this area. There was a bit of a beach built up there and it was awesome water, nearly as warm as a bath which was totally different from the sea that was only a few hundred feet away at that spot.

The last few photos are of a town who's name I'm not sure of but I know it's actually well beyond Pie de la Cuesta down the coast. It can be found by driving beyond Pie de la Cuesta until you cant.
