Adventures Around Acapulco: Parque Papagayo Massive Park Photo Tour 5

in #photography6 years ago

Still not sure what these were but there were two of them at Parque Papagayo and MAN do they know how to put on a show of cuteness for people. Sadly they did it while I was making space on my camera card for more photos and did most of the cutest stuff, like cleaning each other without my camera watching.

LAYIN IT ON THICK.

Place was filled with iguanas, the whole thing being a sanctuary. There were both free (but cared for) and caged iguanas all over.

Probably one of the more disappointing aspects of the from what we could see. Likely one of the most unhappy peacocks I've ever seen.

So the last two photos were partially of the huge but totally awesome airborne obstacle course on premises that doesn't even have padding under it, which there's a sort of freedom in that. It's not for the faint of heart, fortunately Mexican kids are not faint of heart.

At some point starts the walk up the mountain where there's yet more to the park. This is a remnant of the old cable-car system that would carry people up the mountain instead of making them walk, a pretty cool relic.

And so started the official iguana area, along the path up the mountain with sporadic signs with information and cages with various types of lizards.

This waterfall was announcing the nearby presence of a temazcal, probably the coolest one I've ever seen and one I intend to try out hopefully soon. I'll share the photos of that in the next post.

The top of the cable-car. They left a few of the swings stationary that a couple was lounging on cuddling when we walked by. The whole part actually seemed to be a sort of lovers park, couples dating and laying around all over the place, literally.

See? Romantic, I get it. The people here in my experience are always very open about the romance, it's almost refreshing and startling at the same time.

Only a few more posts from this place, but John got some drone footage from there he plans to edit for dtube soon!

Great show, I like it!
I really like this post

The animal in the first three photos looks like a raccoon, or am I missing something?
