Acapulco Mountaintop Cemetery Shots 2
Here's the next set of the photos from that rural cemetery we went to yesterday. It told many stories, many of them pretty sad. What it showed us is that the Mexican people have a great deal of respect for each other and it shows with how they treat the dead. When people from this neighborhood die, the rest of the people in the hood party for 9 days straight to send the body off properly.
It was a little cramped and it was a little hard to tell where graves begun and ended. I'm sure we walked on them as many old ones had become the path but it was honestly part of the charm of the place.

It’s very important how the diseased are being treated. This assures everyone how once they pass away be treated as well. Death is justice for everyone, there is no doubt about it.

Such interesting pictures of a Mexican resting place. Although most cemeteries are much more manicured here in the states, where I live there are many small, old plots, often in strange spots. Your photos remind me very much of those. Close, small, and a wide variety of headstones and decorations.
While it might seem rather haphazard or unkept in places, I feel that I prefer it over the perfection of a more sculpted cemetery. It feels real.
