Ski Day on Schweitzer Mountain! - Gringa Adventures Series
Hey Steemians! Who's excited about being only a week away from Christmas today????
I know, me too! So I'm finally sharing the photos from my ski day with my whole family of steemians this past weekend. My sister @fullofhope got her own snowboard and it was her first time trying it. Go check out her post about it if you want - > Snowboarding- First time!
My cousin @hotrod went skiing with me too and @mamaloves, @lifes-a-donut and @noboxes were there snapping photos.
There are a lot of photos of me on skis but, haha, I realize it's hard o prove it's me with the whole face protection get-up, but I have a few bumps and bruises to prove it. Although, now that I think of it, it would be a lot more flattering to share a photo of some random professional skier and say it was me because my skills are very much in development to be honest.
Hey, I didn't do anything too stupid or clumsy. I will say that ski lifts give me anxiety now though. Not the height, but the getting off. Don't tell anyone but they had to stop it for me the first time because I forgot to jump off fast enough.

I can't believe how late our snow is this year, but better late than never I suppose, lol! I think my crew and a bunch of other homeschoolers will be hitting the slopes at Silver Mountain in a couple weeks, your fantastic post made me full of anticipatory glee!!
We've been looking at Silver Mountain, actually because of one of your earlier posts I think. We'd like to give it a go. We might book a few rooms and let the whole gang go. Some can ski while others swim. Sounds like a great combo and great opportunity.

So sorry I took forever to get back to you! Thanks to all of that unexpected snow, my power was off all night, lol! Got some much needed sleep cause of it though, so total win there!
We got well over an additional foot of snow here, so I am betting you guys are a bit buried too! I think a white Christmas is pretty much a guarantee here.
And I totally think that you all will have a blast at Silver Mountain, it's got everything to have fun in the snow and the faux sun:o)! Hope to see a post about your adventures there very soon!!!
This is the only thing I miss about living in up-state NY in the winters! Totally reminds me of my childhood. Great post and you got me thinking of a ski trip...... maybe next year :)
I don't think I've seen snow in over 10 years or more now. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw snow...lol Did you go sking in Chili? I know that's a possibility.

I did not ever go skiing in Chile, although, as you say, it is available. In fact, they have some great slopes. However, the gear in Chile is stupid expensive and transporting it down from the states is also stupid expensive, so no, I never took the opportunity. But, I hope to make up for it now in Northern Idaho. We have two great places to go, the one included in this post and the other is Silver Mountain.

Thanks for the tip. I had sking in Chili in the back of my mind for ummmm the past 4 four years now! I'm probably better off flying to Northern Idaho. I sure hope they bring you in to the sndbox group. They are some serious business people running that thing. I'm part of the 100 members and I'm just learning what they are all about now.
Lot's to do, so little time! Good thing I'm no longer in transit. No travel activities going to be happening the next few weeks. Has me down and little bit, but at the same time it feels good to get and stay ontop of things, and earn all this $$$$ while the the SBD and Steem is exploding.

Totally agree with you. I've learned more through travel than any schooling I've ever had X 10. Better yet I've washed off such ugly brainwashing, social conditioning, and propaganda it's hard to believe.
When I come back home people can't believe how well spoken and intelligent I am. They think I'm not from the states anymore! lol Cheers to you Gringa! Merry Christmas!

Looks like a fun day on the slopes! I can't wait to hit the mountains this year. My little brother @bryanjagoe is currently working the chairlifts up at Jay Peak in Vermont, I need to get up there and visit sooooon!

You should definitely put it on the list. Vermont is one of my favorite states. Not only do they have some of the best skiing in the country but they also have some of the best country stores with delicious foods!
