It's a wonderful life, in color. The seasonal color palette is sun and shine, not in any particular order.
I picked a daisy and thought of you today...at the corner of he loves me, he loves me not.
Is it mine eyes that betray me or is there beauty in such simplicity?
Flowers have this certain way about them. They make me totally, yet unexplainably happy. Irrationally so. That is as close to the truth as I know it.

All ye, it is for you that I wave my flag. Honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Although it is not celebrated until Monday, I took the opportunity to wave it now. I hoist mine every day at home, just to honor those that have fallen.

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.
they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,
"everywhere"

It is a hummingbird moth, Paul. I thought it was a hummingbird when I ran to get then camera and honestly they sound like one. I was tickled pink to get it as I had never shot one, although I was hoping for a hummingbird, you know?
Oh, I love the pulling of the flowers of the daisy. It was something left over from teenage years - okay perhaps preteen and Yes, I still love to do it! He better love me! ;) I know flowers are simple and so forgiving, why do you think I do them? Pink? We both love here, how could you not, right? She can do it any way for me and I will love it!

I love your photographs. You have captured the essence of each flower. I am amazed at your capture of the Humming Moth. I have not seen one for a few years, and when I do I am so mesmerized watching it I forget to get the camera.
I can never pick out which photograph is my favorite because all flowers touch me. When I see a new flower blooming, no matter the size, no matter if it is a wildflower or domestic, I drop everything to get the camera.

A hummingbird moth!!!! I love those, we used to have them visit our bee balm plants all around the garden! Such a sweet little thing, your photos are simply breathtaking! Flowers do indeed make me so happy and it is indescribable :) Wonderful words my friend!
Oh, thank you so much for the wonderfully kind comment! It is a hummingbird moth and at first glance (and sound) I thought it was a hummingbird. But, as disappointed as I was, I had never caught one of these as they are fast also! So, it was a win.

Oh my. Killer shots, especially that first one. National Geographic should be calling. I have never seen this insect before. Almost looks like a flying crayfish. Some kind of moth?
Oh, you are soooo goood! @Prydefolz It is actually called a hummingbird moth and although I don't see that many of them, they are not uncommon. It sounds like a hummingbird and I was thinking how lucky I was going to be... and snapped of a shot without really focusing... and was surprised when I downloaded it! LOL
So much for Nat Geo! LOL

I had so much trouble to scroll past that first shot, it is spectacular, but it was worth forcing myself to scroll down and see all the other wonderful colorful images

You truly do say the nicest things, you know that? The butterfly moth was a first for me. I am pretty terrible at animals in general, but, I plan on spending some time this summer working on that.
I like flowers because they are simple and they are always pleasing to the eye. Tell me anything easier than that???

Me say the nicest things nah I just say what I feel I guess your posts make me feel nice
I know what you mean about flowers but I don’t get as many great shots of them because most of my flower shots are if ones I see out on walks and it seems whenever I want to photograph one the wind picks up
So maybe buildings are easier they don’t sway in the wind 😂

Your flower collection dazzles me and makes me be more careful when I shoot. Because of you. Also because of you I think I will resume color challenge, only with flowers. I say here that you are the inspiration, I will just copy you and hope you don't mind.
