A wonderful time to share some of my green impressions of Garigal National Park: One of the most pristine wilderness areas of Sydney's Middle Harbour.

A green thicket of ferns on the bank of a stream.
Reflections of the ferns in the dark water. All is still.

But is it really still?
The long downhill fire trail: Rough breaking-down bitumen. How long will it take for nature to reclaim it?
Suburban traffic noises fading already. Calls of birds more audible now.
She Oaks: Blackened trunks. Scraggy brambles. Must have been fires through here not so long ago. But signs of new growth.
First glimpse of Carroll Creek down below. Swinging around the bridge gates. Onto the bush track at last.
Walking under Hanging Rock. Ancient vibration. Gigantic tree ferns. Bright blue sky.
Approaching Flat Rock. Beautiful expanse of rock: Breathing in this new and unexpected impression, after being surrounded by dense bushland for a few hours.
Sitting on a huge fallen log. Sunshine. Warmth. Avocado. Bliss.
Meandering over to look at the creek. SO green down here.

A beautiful rock covered with velvety green moss.
I have a wild imagination. Feelings arise: Everything from primordial fear of what may be lurking, watching me from the shadows ~ To a deep serenity of being alone, alone with my Creator.

An icy cold stream. Still flowing after weeks of no rain. Mossy banks and lush ferns.
Beautiful dappled light flitting through the birches. Tiny finches.
Moss covered rocks and logs. Stepping stones across the creek. Another track for another time perhaps.

A series of small waterfalls. Singing water.
A time when the people most attuned to this land, lived in harmony with each other and this environment.

Mangroves on the edges of the widening creek.
Green and muted tones of purple. My favourite colour combination.

Scraggy scraggy bushland. The ultimate un-manicured garden.

Soft green native grasses. Whispering of the past.
Falling trees returning to the earth. Nature's eco systems.

It's a pleasure to share these impressions of bushland, that's very close to where I live in Sydney @totalgyan.
Our Australian bush animals are very different to those of India. Australian animals tend to be quite shy.

Even though it was a sunny day the creek area was quite dark. Very challenging to capture the beauty that was there. So pleased you like it Yann.
Wow... I guess I need to work on my color challenge word play.
It's been really interesting for me to combine the 'Color Challenge' with the concept of 'You See ~ I See' @deanlogic.
I've been exploring what the Steemit editing system can do and gradually arriving at a basic structure that suits how I wish to present my images. The 'You See ~ I See' concept has really been the icing on the cake for me.
Have a look at it, as I feel your images could work really well using your own version of 'You See ~ I See.'

I love that waterfalls pic!
The whole open flat rock area was such a energizing space to be in @theweirview. There was a much larger waterfall that the creek ran into close by. But the atmosphere around the little waterfalls was truly magical.
You can feel it in the picture...I want to just meditate or take a nap there :P
Wonderful that this image can transport you there. To the feelings I experienced while I was there.
It's a little risky to nap in the bushland though: The danger is not so much the kangaroos. 😊
But the little critters, like tics and leeches.
@allyinspirit.. I love the shades of green in your pictures..especially the small waterfall and the grass.. It has a dreamy look..Totally loved it..
The trees and grasses of the Australian natural bushland are generally quite muted in their tones Varna. The foliage of eucalypts and other trees tends to be blue/green/greyish rather than bright green. Except for plants like the tree ferns, bird's nest ferns and ground cover bracken ferns. Really pleased you like all the variations of green in these images @varna. Following you.

From where I come from, the plants are kinda the same green... So I always love it even more when I see it in a different shade...
The native trees of Australia are non-deciduous and so we don't have the autumn tones of the US and European forests ~ Except in suburban gardens ~ And bush feral.
There would usually be nuances of tone and colour with new and old growth though. 🍃🍂🌿🍂🍃

I'm really loving the format that's evolving for me, as I incorporate 'You See ~ I See' into my posts.
I love how looking at an image triggers off different memories of what was happening at the time the photograph was taken. Or sometimes you see things in the photograph that you didn't actually see while you were photographing.

Was a very full day and amazing day @reiki-trail. Being in this bushland, totally by yourself can be a little overpowering at times. There were some areas in particular, where I felt my fears arising.
One area I didn't photograph was a large hanging rock that jutted out over the pathway. It wasn't the overhanging that was so intimidating ~ But the long narrow slit, just wide enough for someone to crawl though into a cave, at the base of the rock: That extended for about 50 metres alongside the pathway.
AND I had to go past it on the way back AND it was getting dark. ✨
Interesting what being alone in nature can show us. With much love all the way from Australia.
