Walk of the Zaporozhye city

Greetings from sunny Zaporozhye.

From today's walk I brought sunny photographs of my native city!

For those who do not know, Zaporozhye is a picturesque city in the south of Ukraine located along the Dnieper River.

I'll start with the symbol of Zaporozhye region. This sculpture from the Crimean limestone weighing about 2.5 tons depicts a Scythian woman. Such sculptures protected our lands since the nomadic days of the Scythians.

This is the guardian of the "Intercession," the events of mythical Christianity, when the Holy Mother hid the suffering people with her mantle from the enemies visible and invisible.
