California Manroot - Reflection In Raindrop

Here is another photograph of a California Manroot. There vines grow in spirals making them very interesting to photograph. It was raining and near the end of the day so there was not a lot of light coming in at the time of this photograph. This forced me to open my lens aperture all the way up which results in a lot of depth of field.

I love images with a lot of depth of field and I think it works for this image, but I did go back to this same spot a few days later armed with tripod the result of which i will share in a future post. For all you non photographers a tripod allows for longer exposures which results in more control over the aperture settings. The wider the aperture the more light comes in but it results in a lot of depth of field. on the other hand a narrower aperture results in less depth of field but less light comes in through the lens.
