Photo Journey Through the Seasons - Wild Blossoms Found in the Boreal Forest. Part 4
As the season rolls on different blossoms come into their own. I've captured some of their beauty here for you to enjoy!
Alfalfa and Goldenrod
As always my cat JJ likes to follow along for the photo ops. Here he's smelling the alfalfa blossoms
Bees on Hyssop Fireweed and Black-eyed Susan
The bees are busy busy busy getting the pollen and nectar gathered before the cold sets in.
Fireweed
The fireweed will show up in any disturbed areas and lines our roadway with it's beautiful purple flowers!
Hyssop
The hyssop grows plentifully in the open spaces, here along the ditch. It attracts a lot of bees.
Cow Parsnip
The cow parsnip attracted a lot of pollinators too!
Wood duck on a Pond full of Yellow Flowers (closeup of those flowers)
It was amazing this pond was just full of these beautiful yellow flowers. I'm not sure what they are but if any one knows please let me know in the comments.
Gillardia
The gillardia usually grows further south but some had seeded in an open ditch area along with the tiger lilies to make for a beautiful display.
Fleabane
A common flower, fleabane, but a lovely addition to the landscape.
Pea Vine Vetch and Red Clover
The pea vine is common along the forest floor while the red clover and vetch grow out in the open more, all adding to the beauty of the landscape.

So beautiful. What a gorgeous place you live in!
That is one of the things that drew me to the forest. the beauty, peace and abundance of nature, It really saddens me with the destruction caused by the lumber industry, this forest area is also part of the forest lease are for the lumber companies. Another thing too is some people from the city who come to live in our neighborhood will cut their ditches to make it look like a green lawn instead of letting theses wild, beautiful flowers grow and along the highways they spray so these flowers don't grow. It's crazy!
