Special thanks to @kevinwong for guidance, @verbal-d for inspiration and @pfunk for sponsoring Open Mic Week 2 and the upcoming Week 3 with 100 Steem and to all the participants of Open Mic Night and the Steemians who voted for them.
Excellent competition and great to see that it is getting so much attention.
Thanks for the support
You're welcome.
I missed my chance with my brother, and am considering going acapella.
I think that the lyrics could do pretty well on their own.
Go for it! A few other did acapella and it was great
Ok, I'll see.
Thanks for the encouragement.
This was fun thanks guys!
I am trying to get my friends to join Steemit to do open mic as well :D
I'm happy we're all having fun. Hope your friends join up as that was the original idea for Open Mic, to get musicians to introduced to Steemit by playing songs for the community. Thanks for making it special with your music.
Thank you @luzcypher for organizing, @pfunk for support and to everybody who participated: I'm really glad I reached the 5th place with an Italian song.
Have a great third week!
Thanks for supporting and entering Open Mic. Loved your song.
Please, next time you enter, add the link for your post to the comments on my post for the contest so I know that you entered. Thanks and good luck.
ok, will do it.
Woot, made the top ten!
Have you got another song to lay on us?
I'z got millions
Everything's great. But lists are not readable: very small, even after the increase ... But, by the way ...
If someone doesn't have a smart phone, are there other recording methods that will be accepted for open mic nights? Like a camcorder or laptop webcam?
Sure, as long as you can upload your performance to YouTube so you can post the YouTube link. And be sure to say Open Mic at the beginning so we know it's really you.
Hi @luzcypher, I really enjoy the OpenMic Night contests. Just a suggestion for future OpenMic Nights. Maybe we could have a particular topic or theme each week? What do you think? Just to make it more interesting.
That would be cool if we had enough people entering. The first two weeks were good with 20 and 17 entries for week 1 and 2. This week there's only 4 entries so far, even though Open Mic has been getting talked about. People must be busy with the holidays or something. It's a great idea, but I want to allow as many people to enter as possible so adding a theme may be a bit early. Are you entering this week and what themes would you like to see?
