Wow what an amazing and massive week, again were flooded with a stream of new and talented faces - listening to all the entries this week was tremendous.

I am extremely excited to announce, that the Minnow Support Program's radio show MSP-Waves on the Peace Abundance and Liberty discord channel is launching a new show - it will feature the Open Mic entries that make up the judges top five selections each week.

Not only will each weeks radio show play the judges top five selections, we will also be offering a 20 SBD prize each week - we will play all of the top fives and open up votes from the live audience and whoever the audience chooses will win the cash prize.

I am thrilled to be co hosting the show with @isaria, a long term open mic entrant herself and a very talented musician in her own rights - not to mention Minnow Support - Peace Abundance and Liberty moderator, with a focus on developing the music community there.

This is a huge win for all entrants on multiple levels, we now get to share the very best entries to an ever growing live audience - on top of that one lucky and talented entrant will win an additional 20 SBD chosen by the live audience each week!

I am stoked to be able to offer this chance to gain further exposure of our super talented Open Mic entrants, I'd like to encourage everyone to drop by and check it out especially if you were selected in this week's judges top five selection- next week we will be playing your entry into open mic on MSP-Waves live radio.

This week's top 5:

1st Place - @joseacabrerav - Me va mejor

From the first moment I heard the guitar I knew this would be an awesome entry, then I was just blown away by the vocals - what can I say but this is fricken amazing.

I love the tempo when you listen you can't help but move to the music, he creates such a full sound and his vocals are simply amazing - I really love this entry.

For a first timer I am blown away at the sheer talent, after reading your post I am stoked you made the extra recordings so we had the pleasure of your entry - I can't wait to see what you have for us next week.

I may not be able to understand the lyrics in your song, but sometimes great music transcends language barriers and this song does just that - I cannot recommend checking him out enough!

2nd Place - @lucybanks - Freedom

What can I say this girl can sing, she has made my shortlist every week since she started entering - now reaching top fives multiple times, rightly so given her clear and awesome skills.

Her song choice is impeccable, guaranteed to showcase her vocal range and control - the song is killer and well she kills it.

I love the vocal gymnastics and honestly while writing this I have been relistening and singing along with you, damn the breath timing required can be a challenge - and that ending all I can say is you have some serious skills.

I really look forward to hearing what you have for us next week, you are an awesome and valued addition to the contest - if you haven't already check out her music it's amazing!

3rd Place - @meno - Wait

Again a relatively new steemian and open mic entrant that is just blowing us away with his mad skills, I just love the timber of his voice.

This original song shows his skill in not only singing and playing the guitar, but also his ability to compose great music - the structure of his music works so well, rise and fall, build up and calmness it's all included.

This song has a sad and somber feel to it, you can feel the emotion in the lyrics but also the tone - do yourself a favour and check him out.

4th Place - @queenbee - Just a little bit of your heart

What an amazing raw performance, I just love her voice and the emotion that she conveys through it - she has a beautiful timber to her voice that just exudes feeling.

This coupled with her control and song choices make for an amazing entertaining performance, I really enjoy her entries into open mic - she hasn't failed to impress with this soulful song.

I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next week, she has great power and knows when to use it and when to let it rest - I strongly recommend everyone go and check her out you wont regret it!

5th Place - @evandeevee - Valerie

I am really loving all this new blood into the contest and that includes @evandeevee, I love his control and tonality throughout the song.

With a little huskiness to his vocals this week his clear talent shines through, with impressive vocal gymnastics and control I really enjoyed his entry.

I look forward to hearing from you next week, I also recommend everyone head on over and check out his work.

Again another amazing week with so many brilliant entries, I again had to cut myself off from adding more to the special mentions this week - there are just so many of you that deserve a special mention.

I am so honoured to be a part of this contest, to be able to listen and support great musicians and music is a dream job if you can even call it that - all entrants should be so proud of their amazing contributions not only to the open mic contest, but also to steemit in general.

On the note of the community I thought I'd take a moment to mention that, over at the minnow support program on our discord chat room Peace Abundance and Liberty - the recently revitalised music room has been getting rather active lately.

As well as the recent burst of activity, we have also added a jukebox to the room - so now when you're chatting with people in the music room, you can choose and play music from youtube (this includes open mic entries, I may have already played a couple I really enjoyed).

So far I have seen a few open mic regulars hanging out and about on the PAL chat rooms, now we have a place where we can actively share music live with people were chatting with - this can help musicians in so many ways, not to mention it's just fun to hang out and chat over and about good tunes.

In addition to the new music room Peace Abundance and Liberty chat rooms have a lot to offer, you can access bots to vote on your posts, you can also meet and interact with over 5000 steemians in the channel - this can be a very useful resource to new steemians, but is also a fantastic place to meet and interact with like minded individuals on many different topics.
