W.O.W. (Weekly OCD Wrapup) #1 + SBD Giveaway To Underappreciated Steemit Authors 👍☑️

Operation Curation Delegation officially began operations last week. And the first week of my OCD duties got off to a flying start.

OCD is a group of eighteen (18) curators led by curation master @acidyo.

Our purpose:

---

We scan the Steemit waters to net some amazing gems and give those undervalued and deserving gems a platform to rise and shine.

All curators submit their nominations for a particular day, and the top five (5) picks selected by the curators through a voting process make it to the @ocd's daily issue. The submitted nominations also receive a noticeable bump in their earnings via a vote from our curator master @acidyo.

It feels great to be part of an amazing team of curators with a similar intent to help incredible authors. And it certainly feels wonderful to be able to give back to the Steemit community in a way which can encourage and motivate others to follow suit.

The aim of this Weekly OCD Wrapup (I love keeping names with cool acronyms! 😜) is to highlight the seven gems I discovered and nominated the previous week:

• The featured authors would be rewarded SBD generated from this post.
• If I'm able to generate enough SBDs through this post, I would up the stakes and give away some SBD to up and coming authors I haven't been able to nominate, but whose posts are undervalued and underappreciated.

Nominations for @ocd Week 1:

1) Photographer with 6 Types of Fiat Currency in His Camera Bag! Steemit Travel Blog by @lightenup

My first nomination is a lovely travel story with stunning pictures that takes us through Italy and Croatia. The author talks about cryptocurrencies as well as gives us a glimpse into his personal life, and is a great read.

2) Steemit Smart Lamp Design which tracks your progress! by @dandesign86

My second nomination is an incredible idea of a Steemit Smart Lamp that every Steemian might look forward to. Currently in it's initial stage, the epic product can change colors according the goals you program into it. It is something I'd certainly love to have!

3) Cycling Denmark to China: Meet the most bad Ass tour bikers... At a bus stop? by @holm

My third nomination is from an author who's on an epic cycling trip from Denmark to China. In this blog, he recounts two interesting encounters - one with a biker couple from China, and another with the owner of a bamboo bike. It's certainly one of those must read travel stories.

4) Steemit: Whale Votes, Whining, and Why Gratefulness is Your Ticket to Success by @kayclarity

My fourth nomination for @ocd daily is a heartfelt post which sets the right tone to achieve success on steemit. It is a wonderful read especially for newly joined users as it encourages having the right mindset of not taking steemit for granted, and being consistent.

5) Fashion Photography （‐＾▽＾‐）by @eriluks

My fifth nomination is from a "Model, photographer, gamer, computing student" whose post about fashion photography is worthy of multiple looks. The amazing pictures accompanied by a great narration make this a blog and photographer to keep an eye on.

6) Little Insanos - The Zombie Bartender by @sallyswitchblade

The sixth nomination was a sensational piece of artwork. The author calls these wonderful creatures Insanos, and this particular Insanso is 'The Zombie Bartender'. This original content is is full of color and life, and the artist's attention to detail as well as the pictures that show the progression of this incredible piece of art make you want to keep staring at the screen.

7) My Art in the Making - Painting an Epic Waterfall, Part 4 by @andrew.tischler

My final nomination for the week is from a professional artist. His marvelous piece of art is a recreation of an epic waterfall scene of 'The Kimberley' in Western Australia. The attention to detail, the life like images and the detailed explanation of the process along with pictures of the progression make this a standout post.

8) Complimentary GIF Visuals For Steemians - Help Yourself To This Original Steem Package For - Travel, Photography & Crypto News by @pulpworx

Special mention - This is an incredible piece of work that I couldn't nominate because it was in the last 12 hours of payout.

You must check this one out - The author has created Motion GIFs for Crypto News, Travel and Photography. The GIFs are stunning to say the least, and are free to be used by the community. The author intends to create more GIFs and is also open for suggestions.
