„Wir bringen Licht“-Die Geschichte unseres Uganda-Projekts / "We bring light" -The story of our Uganda project (Teil 9- Part 9)
Da wir das ganze Jahr für Uganda „gearbeitet“ haben, hatten wir das Bedürfnis noch einmal dorthin zu fahren. Diesmal blieben wir 3,5 Wochen am Lake Bunyonyi und an der Schule.
Wir fuhren mit ca. 1000.-€ Spendengeldern dorthin. Es war sehr schön, Lehrer Benson und die Kinder wiederzusehen.
Da wir wieder zur Weihnachtszeit dort waren, hatten die Kinder Ferien. Jedoch sind einige zur Schule gekommen, um uns zu begrüßen. Sie sangen und tanzten für uns.
Since we "worked" for Uganda all year, we felt the need to go there again. This time we spent 3.5 weeks at Lake Bunyonyi and at the school.
We drove there with about 1000.- € donations. It was very nice to see Teacher Benson and the children again.
Since we were there again at Christmas time, the children had holidays. However, some came to school to greet us. They sang and danced for us.

Wir kauften Lebensmittel für die Schule: 75kg Maismehl, 20kg Bohnen, 25kg Reis und 2kg Nüsse. Wir hätten noch mehr gekauft,aber da bis Februar Ferien waren, muß man auf Lagerung/Haltbarkeit achten...also kauften wir nur soviel wie momentan benötigt wurde.....
We bought food for the school: 75kg maize flour, 20kg beans, 25kg rice and 2kg nuts. We would have bought more, but since February were holidays, you have to pay attention to storage / shelf life ... so we only bought as much as was currently needed .....
Außerdem gingen wir in der nächsten Stadt (Kabale) in einen Supermarkt und kauften Zahnbürsten, Zahnpasta,Seife,Shampoo, Papier, Radiergummis, Süßigkeiten...alles für die Schule.
Aus Deutschland hatten wir Bleistifte, Fieberthermometer, Mundschutz, Modeschmuck und Geschenkband (für die Weihnachtsgeschenke), Plüsch-Elefanten-Schlüsselanhänger und andere Kleinigkeiten mitgebracht. Außerdem hatten wir Badekleidung für die Kinder gekauft (die war hier im Herbst im Angebot). Die Kinder dürfen in ein Hotel,welches einen Pool hat, kommen und dort schwimmen lernen. Das ist sehr wichtig,denn sie wohnen am See und einige sind mit Booten unterwegs. Man glaubt es kaum, aber weltweit gibt es viele Menschen, sogar Fischer, die am Wasser wohnen und nicht schwimmen können!
We also went to a supermarket in the nearest town (Kabale) and bought toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, paper, erasers, sweets ... all for school.
From Germany we had brought pencils, clinical thermometer, mask, costume jewelery and gift ribbon (for the Christmas gifts), plush elephant key chains and other trifles. We also bought swimwear for the kids (which was on sale here in the fall). The children are allowed to come to a hotel, which has a pool, and learn to swim there. This is very important, because they live at the lake and some are traveling by boat. You hardly believe it, but there are many people worldwide, even fishermen, who live by the water and can not swim !
Auch für uns gab es manchmal Posho (Brei aus Maismehl) und Bohnen. Die Menschen dort essen das fast täglich. Es ist billig und macht satt...

ich danke dir. Irgendetwas kommt immer zusammen, mal mehr,mal weniger....Ich warte jetzt aber mit dem Umtausch der Nobel (bis sie wieder gestiegen sind).
