This week is ’Upcycle Week’! We have an Upcycle Challenge going on and there is still time for you to participate in week 2!!
Today’s featured post includes some of the upcycle entries...
#needleworkmonday :: Upcycling an old T-shirt 👕 into an envelope ✉ pillowcase by @marblely
Do you have at least one t-shirt you love but can no longer fit? Don’t throw it out before visiting @marblely’s post on how to keep it longer! What a clever idea she shares on how to make that special no longer able to wear t-shirt into a cute envelope pillowcase! That’s right, you can now sleep on your adored garment. Come follow along as she guides you in making your own!
Making a new pant from an old one / ジーンズから新しいズボンができました by @akipponn
How about using your old pair of jeans as a pattern? This is exactly what @akipponn did. She takes a favorite pair of old jeans, deconstructs them into a pattern and makes a new pair out of new jean material. What a unique way to upcycle your old and unused belongings! Take a look at how the upcycle or ‘reverse engineering’ (as @cryptocariad called it) turned out.
NEEDLEWORKMONDAY: UPCYCLING CHALLENGE by @jurich60
One of the great things about needlework is you can make your own customized accessories. @jurich60 has done just that! She has taken the handles from a bag she purchased and used them to make her own crocheted clutch bag. I think once you view her post you would agree that her handmade version is fabulous! Why not make one for yourself?
MONDAY AGAIN GIRLS THAT CAN ONLY MEAN ONE THING #NEEDLEWORKMONDAY by @brittandjosie
What you see now is totally different from how it started. You’ll be amazed at what this jacket looked like before the upcycle process began. @brittandjosie has worked hard transforming the jacket she loves. Enter in and see how she made this jacket transform and which final look she chose!
Cluch made in a circular loom by @tahiaarq
Did you know you can make your own yarn out of t-shirts? We call it...t-shirt yarn! 😄 @tahiaarq shows us how to make this cute little clutch out of this handmade yarn using a circular loom. You can add your own embellishments to dazzle it up as she has done.
Thank you for stopping by to view our featured posts for this week! Please stop by their posts and show them some love with a read and an upvote for sharing their handmade creations!
