9 Motivating & Inspiring Disney Animated Movie Songs to Listen To While Working

in #music5 years ago (edited)

Ah yes, Disney animated movies and their songs, who wouldn't love them? I don't like all of them but I enjoy listening to the soundtrack of certain Disney cartoon and 3D animated films.

As I've been doing movie reviews on Bitlanders for the past few weeks my brain just can't help but have Disney Song Pop Ups every now and then. Blame it on the Disney movie songs I love and appreciate.

I'm sure we are all familiar with the need to be motivated or inspired in order to succeed in life. If we just sit on our bums and keep dreaming without doing anything then what happens? When we're feeling down or lazy, we can listen to these wonderful Disney songs that can inspire us to be better people.

You know what they say, "We are what we consume." Most people just listen to the radio all day while working or idling the time away. Can you imagine what kind of songs and ideas are getting into the heads of people these days because of the music we hear on the radio, TV and online media? Why not choose to listen to encouraging songs instead? This is why I decided to share this list with everyone.

Here are nine songs I listen to from nine different Disney movies for your random listening pleasure. Feel free to add these to your playlist for a positive spin any time of day. I'm sure any and all of the ones in here can help us keep on reaching for our goals and dreams!

I'll also be including links you can click on where you can purchase the songs/albums, watch the movies and other related stuff online. That'd give me some moolah for ice cream too. Haha. Ah nostalgia is such a wonderful thing.

Okay, come on, let's listen to your new Disney playlist! :P

♦ When You Wish Upon a Star - Pinocchio

We all start out as kids. As children, everyone had dreams. Everything begins with a wish for a dream to come true or a goal to reach. This might be an old Disney song but it still is very applicable to this day.

When I was a kid this was one of those kiddie songs adults sing or play to their children. These days there are a lot of nonsense children songs (like Baby Shark) being played for kids. If you have young ones now, why not add this to your kiddie song playlist. :) It's still popular up to now. There are even music boxes & other memorabilia of the song being sold online too.

How it motivates/inspires us: What I like about When You Wish Upon a Star is it allows our imagination to run free. There's no harm in daydreaming right? We can do it anytime at any day and age.

When we wish for something, don't forget to take action on it too and soon you'll be on your way to having your dreams fulfilled someday.

♦ Go the Distance - Hercules

But of course whatever you wish for, you have to know where you want to be. If you haven't found where you're meant to be yet, don't worry, you'll find it soon! Find out who you are first. Be brave and go the distance like Hercules. (^_^) Or just listen to the soundtrack like I do sometimes.

Actually I prefer Michael Bolton's version because it is more heartfelt and can make people cry. Lol. So give his song a listen too.

How it motivates/inspires us: Just listening to the lyrics and singing along to Go the Distance can help empower ourselves. It's like we're saying we can be successful too! If you feel lost then this is an amazing song to listen to. Go the Distance encourages us to not be afraid to get out there and find where we belong.

♦ How Far I'll Go - Moana

Now in case you already know who you are, do you somehow feel stuck? Do you hear adventure calling? Or you just feel the need to go somewhere? Why not see where you can get to and listen to Moana singing while you're at it? Lead the way captain!

How it motivates/inspires us: Sometimes if we don't try to break the mold or our routine we won't know we can achieve better things in life. Moana's song How Far I'll Go makes us think of the possibilities waiting out there for us. We just need to be brave enough to take the first step and see how far we can go. The message of the song encourages us to discover what lies beyond what we are familiar with or used to.

♦ Whistle While You Work - Snow White

Ah yes, another old song we should be familiar with. None of those new work work work work work songs can compare to this. It's nicer to listen to happy work songs from time to time.

Here you'll see Snow White sings it while doing household chores. But of course you can listen to it while working on other things too.

If you want to get some motivation while working out, do you think this will work for you? Haha. I prefer another version though, check it out below.

This one is something I used to listen to as a kid. You know those kiddie song albums our parents play to us? Yeah this is one of them. Why not listen to it too sometimes to keep things more positive while exercising or doing some menial jobs eh? :P

Want to share a Do Re Mi Children's Chorus album with your kids, grandkids or just reminisce the old days? Click the links to get the best deals on Amazon or eBay

How it motivates/inspires us: We all know menial work can be boring and/or tiring. If you listen to this song while cleaning, it certainly can lift your mood while doing all the things that need to be done. Even if you are doing something else like exercising or taking care of the kids, you can listen to this to make yourself feel better.

♦ Happy Working Song - Enchanted

In case you like a more modern and fun Disney work song, try this one from the movie Enchanted.

Even if you're not doing house chores, you can hum it while you're at the office or something. Why not, right? If you're feeling stressed out, take a break and play this then see what happens. Haha.

How it motivates/inspires us: It encourages us to sing and have fun while we overcome the challenges of house work or any job for that matter. It also says a new experience can be worth trying. Well hey, we all need a little push in that direction sometimes so this movie soundtrack makes it inspiring to listen to.

Hakuna Matata - The Lion King

If you're getting anxious trying to earn money, get what you're hoping for or go where you want to be, take a moment to let go and relax. Let the world do its wonders. Let the Universe or God take care of the rest after all the work you've done. :)

You know what they say, "Don't worry, Be happy. "

How it motivates/inspires us: We all know we cannot control everything. Traffic will not fix itself if you just say something to the one beside you, the rain will not stop if you wave your hand, people will always make mistakes no matter how hard we try to be perfect. It is especially hard to accept this fact if we are control freaks. So the song can serve as a reminder that we should also know how to just sit back and relax after doing everything we can.

Also, if you are always hurt by what other people say and do, take a break from thinking about the negative stuff. Learn from the experience and think about the good things you are capable of doing too! Don't worry too much all the time. Sing Hakuna Matata or watch The Lion King 1 1/2 to know the tale of the song! Lol.

♦ On My Way - Brother Bear

So while you're relaxed and have eased your worries, you can then say you're on your way!

As On My Way suggests, it's time to take a break from thinking about work and money all the time. Smell the flowers and the fresh breeze from the trees as you pass them by on your way to work or while going home. Take a break and try to gaze at the beautiful sunset on the horizon from where you are. If there are cumulus clouds in the sky, watch them for a few minutes as they glide idly by.

How it motivates/inspires us: Now that you're relaxed and have lesser worries, I'm sure you're feeling better and happier. Finally you can say you're on your way to a better you. Right? Turn your life around and appreciate everything you see outside.

You can take this song and make it inspiring by thinking you're going up the success ladder. Imagination can bring you places too so why not do it with this song playing in the background.

♦ True to Your Heart - Mulan

And of course, we should also know how to listen to what our heart is saying. Be mindful of what we truly want in life. Let us remind ourselves to be true to what we feel from time to time.

Apparently the soundtrack single version of this song is waaay better than the one we are more familiar with. Did you notice the lyrics is way better than the cheesy boy band album song? Lol.

How it motivates/inspires us: True to Your Heart (single) reminds us to not rely on our brain all the time. We have to trust our instincts or what our spirit is saying. Sometimes we just need to stop listening to what the world is telling us in order to be where we should be.

♦ I'm Still Here - Treasure Planet

In spite of everything, stay true to your heart and don't let other people change you for the worst. Listen to this for some inspiration when you hate the feeling of other people not accepting who you are.

How it motivates/inspires us: People will always try to change us into what they think we should be. I'm Still Here reminds us that only we can change ourselves into who or what we want to be. We are still here, alive and kicking, able to do whatever we can to succeed in life, reach our goals and be better people.

♥ Bonus: When You Believe - Prince of Egypt

Now this one is from a Dreamworks animated movie but I still want to include it in here. Actually the entire soundtrack is amazing but I just want to share one. This is such an uplifting song with God clearly in the message so do give it a listen too!

How it motivates/inspires us: Listen to When You Believe when you need some encouragement or need strength in your faith. In the end, if we believe in what we believe in then that something can happen with the help and grace of God. Faith with action can help move mountains and make positive changes in our lives.

It seems crazy but I always listen to the song of white snow, hakunamatata and Moana :D if they are really inspiring for any inspirer.

there are people who grow up are adults and forget or even ridicule someone for listening to movie soundtracks that for me are not childish are for any age, I have worked as a puppeteer for 15 years and it's the same, I say "Ivan ohh tu listenas musica infantil" or "there are cute puppets for children" and or I always respond that the music is universal and puppets are for any audience. many times we forget that we were children and we become bored.

Come with me to dance in the woods.... Are you coming? :D

thank you for sharing this publication, you have really renewed me as a child and adult, now to work happily.

Greetings

Wow that's cool. A puppeteer! Yeah music is for all ages anyway. It doesn't matter if they think that way coz they're missing out. Haha.

This is a great collection of Disney songs (and the one Dreamworks). To be honest I haven't heard most of them. I grew up during the Lion King era so I've definitely heard Hakuna Matata. Whistle While You Work and Wish and When You Wish Upon a Star are two others I grew up listening to. Disney has always been a big part of my life, I spent a lot of my childhood watching the movies and visiting the theme parks. Thank you for sharing these, it really brings me back to that time.

Aladdin had some great ones too. When I was a kid, my friends and I always wanted to do some kind of play that imitated the movie. We had it all planned up on who got to play Aladdin and who got to play Jasmine. We fought over this because we all wanted to find an excuse to kiss the girl we had a crush on hahahahaha This is the song that always reminds me of that time:

Thanks so much for sharing! It was a very positive message and very nostalgic for me. I very much enjoyed your post.

Haha yeah it's fun to reminisce.

You've been to Disneyland? Wow haven't been there yet. I'm not much of an Aladdin movie fan but I like the genie. 😁

It's an older movie but one I grew up with. I think it's more of a nostalgic thing. I'm not sure I'd get as much entertainment out of it now. But I enjoyed the movie at the time! And the accompanying video game that came with it 😂

I have been to Disneyland! Many many many times. The first 13 years of my life were spent in the United States in California. I have lots of family that live near the area so whenever my family and I would visit them, we generally went to Disneyland. I've never been to the Disney World though, only the surrounding area in Orlando, Florida.

Wow it's nice when you live near Disneyland. 😂 I haven't played any Disney game so that's cool too.

I like The Lion King more when I was a kid. I cried when Simba died. Huhu. 😂 Haven't watched it again but I did just watch The Lion King 1 1/2 the other day.

Well you aren't the only one to cry at that part! It was a common reaction to such a heartbreaking scene. Finding Nemo was one that got me. The opening scene is such a sad one. It really pulls the heart strings. Luckily the rest of the movie is quite positive and uplifting.

I don't remember what movie it was (not Bambi) but when I was a kid it was a Disney movie I watched where the kid lost his mother in the beginning. I absolutely lost it and broke down crying thinking I would lose my Mom hahaha As a kid it terrified me.

Disney definitely played a big part in my life growing up and I think it's a great brand. They always have very powerful and positive messages.

Haha yeah. I think The Lion King was the only Disney movie that made me cry a lot. Finding Nemo is good too.

Not sure if I know which movie that was that you saw. 😂 Yeah Disney movies are awesome.

I want to say small chipmunks were involved. Or maybe it was The Fox and The Hound... I can't remember hahaha I just know it was very traumatizing as a kid and I still remember it to this day. I'm fine now though 😂

That's good then. 😂😂😂

So many great songs you mention here... I must say that I have three favorites from your list, Hakuna Matata, the song from the Snow White, and also the Enchanted music... I especially remember how I loved listening to the music from Enchanted for a very long time after I first watched it in the cinema... and if it should come up somewhere, I still love the songs. So happy, fantastic lyrics, and great to listen to!

Oh I love Enchanted too. So Close, That's How You Know and that song above. I think there's another one. Actually I got the soundtrack album after watching the movie so I love everything. 😂❤️

"When you wish upon a star-pinocchio" I like this song

It all starts with the hope that the dream will come true or the goal to be achieved. This is a very good sentence, motivational songs like this that are needed by small children.Although reality is not always in accordance with the wishes, at least we dare to make high hopes.Thank you for sharing.regards

Yeah. That's why I followed it up that dreams can come true if we also put in the work and find a way for it to come true. If it's not meant to be then perhaps there is something much better. 😁

This is one of the most cheerful songs that I've seen on Steemit so far. I love your attitude. As you say, we tend to listen to some radio channels that might not even be good for us. The music might be dark, depressive, the lyrics arrogant or also very sad. They form our day and may have impact on our mood.

If you listen to these cheerful songs, nothing can beat your good mood. It makes you happy.

My favorite is Snow White song. It's because I love everything about Snow White. When I was 5 years old my mom taught me to read as she was getting me Disney books and I found it very boring when she was reading them to me. I wanted to read them myself and as I was not going to school yet, she helped me. Well, then I was bored at school :D but this is not the point..

When the movie came out, I couldn't get enough of it. I love Disney because of his cheerful characters and the fact that the story always ended with a happy couple :) Nowadays, kids get different animations to watch..

The other one that I really like would be On my way. We so often focus on wrong thing in life and forget the nice small things for free.

I actually like all of them and could go on and on but this comment is long enough already and I don't want to bore you :)

Thank you for sharing and have a nice day!

Oh I'm glad you like my post. When did Snow White come out as a movie after 1937?

Yeah I just like to spread good vibes these days. Haha. Thanks for dropping by. 😉

Well, my bad.. when I said movie I meant the animated version :) Actually the one from which was the video that you showed. I'm sorry for the confusion :)

EDIT: When I say 'came out' I mean the time when we were able to watch it. Before 1989 we didn't have such foreign animated movies..

😂 it's ok. I guess it's a new DVD or something... 😅

Edit: oh I see, now I know. Hehe. That's great then you were able to see it back then. We were only able to watch it on TV back then if it was shown. 😅

Great selection, looking through I know, I believe all of them and many of them my favorites too. Actually I came across many due to my son, when he was little, we had CD with favorite Disney songs and he had a little CD player so that CD was running every day for few hours and to tell the truth I enjoyed them too. Now when my son is a teen, we watch only something like Pirate of Caribbean or Star Wars but still I love Disney production, that is family friendly and really good quality :)

Oh I see. That's nice to know then. 😊
