Creative Photography: Monochrome Landscapes
Monochrome Landscapes
Some landscapes lend themselves to a Monochrome finish. It's a great technique to go for on those drab overcast days when colours are so vibrant a different light is a bit dull.
This image, taken at Derwent Water near Keswick in the UK, is a long exposure to give the water a flat glass like quality. Utilising the dark contrast if mountains and sky to draw the viewers eye to the center of the image and the valley that lies beyond.
