"Six of the Best" from our New Mapsters - MAP28 Minnow Contest
This is the next contest in the Minnows Accelerator Project's "Six of the Best". Although this carries on from MAP27, this MAP28 has a new look and feel to it. Instead of voting for new members, you can now vote for the best post from six of our New Mapsters!
If you would like to participate, then just make a request to join MAP at the most recent Signup Page - this can always be found on the profile page of @accelerator.

What Do the Content Creators Need to Do Now?
If you are the author of one of six articles listed below, then you are eligible to receive votes from other Steemit users.
= Firstly, please write a comment stating that you are one of the authors in this MAP contest.
= Then, please resteem this post to your followers so that they may come and vote for you.
= You should also announce this on your current posts. This contest will last for 7 days, so you have time to spread the word. I have also found that appropriate comments with a linkback also work very well. Please don't spam Steemit, as that can easily be seen.
How to Vote for Your Favourite Steemian Author [UPDATED! PLEASE READ]
This part has changed (again!) from MAP27 onwards. The Minnows Accelerator Project has grown to some 150+ members and it is time to put their collective experience into helping to select the winner of each MAP Contest. I have stopped using external polling websites so that the whole voting process stays internally within the Steemit community.
= Firstly, make sure you read all the six articles - you may discover an author you had not noticed before.
= Also, you are free to add comments and interact with each author.
= But most importantly, vote for your favourite author or authors in the comment that they create. You may BOTH upvote their comment AND reply to their comment using the word "VOTE"; you may, of course, also make a comment to show support. You may vote for more than one author. Any bot votes will not be counted, and if you use one of the vote-following bots then that participant will be disqualified. [NEW!] Just to add that recent MAP contests have seen an increase in voting, which is great to see, and this small change just makes them easier to count!
= What will you get? Apart from the warm glow of satisfaction at having helped a fellow Steemian, I shall upvote any interesting comments.
= At the end, the combined votes from comment upvotes plus MAP member votes will decide the winner (or winners, if the scores are tied).
What Are The Prizes?
= The main prize is of 200 SP delegated for 7 days. (This will increase as we get more sponsorship!)
= Every New Mapster is already a MAP Member and may also be featured in our "Tales from the MAP Room" quality curated content magazine and can participate in other contests such as the Binary Stars: Collaborative Contest!

Thank you very much for featuring my post!! I actually hesitated to make that post initially, because i didn't know if it would be interesting enough. But it clearly has done very well! I actually plan to do more space and KSP related posts in the future because of how well it has done!

Really, anything that shows a personal touch is likely to get some recognition. Had you just quoted the press release, it would have been buried, but you went the extra mile with the simulation - that's what made it unique!

don't worry, it gets a bit complicated. Map is an initiative to give minnows a bit more exposure. You can apply here if you like to participate and the post tells more about it.
If you would like to be considered for the next round, then please sign up at Minnows Accelerator Project [September 2017 Signups v3].
But basically, 6 people are chosen for each contest based on their posts. Then, the 6 get also invited to join a discord channel (kind of a forum type thing) . All in there have done this contest and are very helpful. a great place to ask questions.
For 7 days, the 6 contestants ask their followers to vote for them and there is also a voting channel in Map for former participants. The winner gets to use 200 steem for one week - getting more voting power and all that jazz.
You could do it! You qualify :)
